Now,if you wanna talk about information overload,try this out:Duke,Jace and Loki are demons disguised as 14 year old kids.Dukes' really nineteen,Jace is 17 and Loki's 18.Damn.
"Wait,so,what!?" I whimper,
"OK,we're demons sent to protect you and your friends." Duke says.
"Alright,let me get this straight;you three are demons and you not evil?!"
"Yup."
I just groan,"None of this makes sense."
"Well, really it's not that confusing.Once you die it all depends if you've met your goals.You meet your goals,you go to heaven,or the demon world.If you die and haven't met your goals then you go to the demon world.If you die and don't have any goals or have been bad,like,really bad you go to hell." Duke explains.
"Sounds like fun." I say sarcastically.No reply from the boys.
We chat some more then Officer Rut tells us that we have to go back to school.
When we get back to school the four of us go to the same seventh hour.
In reading I notice that the boys looked....Different?
Must be my imagination....
The thought flits through my mind.No more then five minutes later Shix leans over and whispers,"Are they OK?"
"I dunno...."
"Ask."
My face glows red at the thought."O-OK...."
I lean over and whisper in Dukes' ear,"Are you guys OK?"
He looks at me and shakes his head,the light fading from his eyes.
Oh golly.....!
Dukes' head slowly sinks to the desk,and he lets out a barely audible groan.I look at his brothers,they didn't look so hot neither.
"Duke,Jace,Loki,is something wrong?" The teacher,Mrs.Sapphire,asks.The boys don't respond.
"Uhmm....Guys?"I shake Dukes' shoulder,"Duke!!" My heart begins to race.
"Shix,Aod,a little help??" Shix and AOD jump up and help the boys up.Shix help Jace,AOD helps Loki and I help Duke.We slowly walk to the office.
"So,what's the number?"The nurse asks.
"Don't have one."Loki says,
"Email?"
"Don't have one."
The nurse looks to me,I shrug,"We could call my parents?"
"Not without notifying theirs." Says the nurse.
"Don't have any." Jace mutters.We all look to them.
"What?!" Duke asks feebly,
"Well....Saint,what the number?"
"685-6666." I say.
"Shix,AOD?"
AOD and Shix give their numbers and the nurse call their parents.
My dad pulls up in a Chevy Trail Blazer.Good vehicle,puts them Fords to shame.Well,almost,dads' four door Chevy already does that.
"Ready to head home?" Dad asks after we all get into the car.
"Definitely." I say.Glancing back at the boys,I see that they're all slumped together.Snoozing.
We ride home in silence,well.except for dad interrogating me about the day.After I tell him everything he's silent til' we get home.
At my house we drag the boys inside and up to my room where I dig out some blankets and the boys,groggily,get settled in my Queen sized bed.A little big for just me? Yes,but the dogs like to sleep with me when it storms.Or whenever they feel like it.
So,what's going on with them?" I wonder aloud.
"I have no clue....Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that they're demons?" Says Shix.
"Uhm,how the fuck did you know-"
"That they're demons?C'mon,who dyes thier hair almost neon blue?" Shix just looks at me.
"Well...Ugh I give!"I groan.
While waiting for the boys to wake up,Shix,AOD and I grab a snack and play blackops for a bit.
It was around nine when the boys awoke,Jace was first,then Loki and finaly Duke.
"Where are we?" Loki questions,
"My house,my room." I say,
"Oh yeah..." He's silent for a while.
"So what's going on?" I ask hoping for a good answer,
"Demon Equinox,we're mortal for a week."Duke answers.
"Oh....."
"Yeah,it sux!!"Jace growls.
"Soooo....What should we do now?" I question.By now the rain has started back up.
"We wait."
"Sounds boring."
"It is."
A while later we're all playing vid games or just plain talking.
"SAINT!!!!" My dad calls,
"Coming!" I sprint to the door,and walk out to the stairs.I see that dad's walking up the stairs.
"Whattcha need?" I ask,
"Me and your mum have to go out of tow for a few months for a business trip.Can we trust you girls with the boys?"
"Of course,daddy!" I grin,
"Good because we don't want to come home to a burnt down house,alright?"
"Yup!!"I say gleefully.
"OK,well we're gonna leave tomorrow so we're shopping tonight."
"KK!!" I smile and dad wraps me in a hug.
"Hey,can Shix and AOD stay until you guys come back?
"Only if their parents say."
"Kay!!"I dash back into my room.
After telling everyone the news we head down to the basement to the game room.
