Ayumai's P.O.V
I woke up with Cero's chest in my face. My face heated up. Wow its so- no snap out of it. His arm was draped around me. I wiggled out of his grasp. He frowned and tried to grab at me again. When his hands met empty space he groaned and sat up. He rubbed his eyes. "Celia where did you go," he muttered. I scrunched my eyebrows together. Who was Celia? He opened his eyes. "Good morning," he yawned. "Who's Celia?" I blurted. "Celia!" He yelped. "Yeah who is she?" I asked. He looked sad. I almost felt bad for asking him. "She was my soulmate and she was also brutally murdered the day after I asked her to marry me," he sighed. I gasped slightly. That explains the hollow looks he gives everyone. Especially other girls. "Sorry Cero," I said awkwardly. What else can you say? "Its fine it happened two years ago," he said bluntly. "Wait did you say two years ago," I asked. "Yes and I'd rather not talk about it," he snapped. I barely heard him. My eyes blurred with tears. No I don't want to remember that. Not that. "Hey hey snap out of it," Cero's voice sounded washed out. I shook my head. Too late. The memory flashed before me.
"Miss McCarthy is sick today so I will be your substitute teacher class," the new woman sad. I don't know why but there was something off about her. The day went as normal as it could have been. Until lunch time. "Class we are going to eat in the classroom today," the teacher said. I looked at my friends. They seemed fine with it. So we all trooped in. "Boy am I hungry class," the teacher said in a darker voice. We turned to her as she locked the door. "Teacher why did you lock the door?" Alex asked. "So my lunch won't escape!" She screeched. Her face was now hideous and bloody. We all screamed. She lunged at my best friend who was frozen in shock. I saw all my classmates get eaten alive one by one. Their remains splattered all over the classroom. "Aw you look sweet human always save the dessert for last she cackled. Fear consumed me and I knew I was about to blackout again. This time I let it happen. When I woke up the police and teachers were there. I was taken in for questioning. I eventually had to move away. Ever since then I've had nightmares of my classmates getting ripped to shreds.

" Hey its okay calm down, " Cero soothed. I was in his lap. "Sorry I just remembered something I'd rather not remember," I panted. My heart was racing. Dried tears itched on my cheek. There was no way I would ever let that happen to Cero.
