Michael slipped on his slippers and stood up quietly. He rubbed his eyes and walked out of his and Luke's room and into the kitchen. His fingers found the light switch and the first thing he did was plug in the coffee machine. He got a pan out of the cupboard and placed it on the stove. He turned the stove on and got some eggs out of the fridge. He cracked them into the pan and moved to throw some bread into the toaster.

This was a daily routine for Michael. He'd wake up first, make the coffee and make the breakfast. Luke would wake up next with Amelia. When breakfast was ready and on the table, Michael would go get Andrew out of bed, the sleeper of the family. He got that from Luke.

As Michael sprinkled cheese in the eggs, he heard footsteps enter the kitchen. He looked over and his husband was already inches from his face. Michael giggled and gave him a quick kiss.

"Good morning, Kitten," Luke hummed.

"My turn!" Amelia squealed from his arms.

Michael giggled and leaned in, kissing her cheek. She giggled and leaned her head on Luke's shoulder. Michael proceeded to put the eggs on a big plate and bring them over to the kitchen table. He laid out four plates, two glass, two plastic. Followed by forks and cups. He filled the cups with juice and put his mug down next to where Luke already placed his. He turned around to go get the toast but Luke was already heading his way with it.

"Thank you, Lukey pookey," He teased, earning a snarl from Luke.

Luke placed Amelia in her booster seat and Michael hurried to Andrew's room.

"Andrew," He cooed, leaning onto the side of his bed.

Andrew rolled over.

"Breakfast is ready," Michael spoke softly. "I made your favourite."

"Carry me," Andrew mumbled.

Michael giggled and picked his son up. Andrew cuddled into Michael's shoulder and Michael walked back into the kitchen and placed him onto a chair. He yawned.

"Looks like somebody's still tired," Luke chuckled, putting eggs and a piece of toast on his plate.

He nodded. Michael smiled at the two and filled his plate with food. He glanced over at Amelia who was feeding herself with her hands. He just smiled and shook his head. She was two, what could he do.

"This is very good, Kitten," Luke spoke, mouth full.

Michael dropped his jaw and hit his arm lightly. "Honey! Swallow before you talk, we have kids to be leaders for."

Luke swallowed and smirked. "Sorry Kitten."

They continued to eat their breakfast, continue to laugh and make small talk. Michael cleaned up the dishes when they were finished. Luke went to go get dressed for the day and Amelia and Andrew ran around for a bit.

Michael turned on the dishwasher and walked over to his kids. It was his job to dress Amelia and Luke's job to dress Andrew.

"Come here, princess," Michael spoke softly when she looked over at him.

She waddled over and Michael scooped her up in his arms. They walked down the hall and into her room. He placed her down on the chair in her room. He then proceeded to walk to her closet, picking out a pink and yellow sundress and pink toddler converse and walked over to her.

He changed her outfit, once again being thankful for his husband who changed her diaper before breakfast.

"All ready!" Michael said with a wide smile.

"Wait!" She squealed and climbed off the chair running over to her closet.

She dug through a small box and pulled out kitten ears and placed them on her head, giggling.

"Ready!" She giggled.

"Darling, you wear those everyday," Michael said with a smile.

"I know," She giggled and ran out of her room.

Michael followed her and they ran into Luke and Andrew, both ready for the day. Andrew was dressed in a pair of jeans and a Rolling Stone shirt. Michael laughed, he was such a little Luke. Andrew and Amelia ran out of Luke and Michael's side and Michael walked to Luke, adjusting the collar on his shirt.

"I love when you dress up," Michael said, pressing his lips together.

"I dress up everyday," Luke chuckled. "I'm a manager, I have to look professional."

"I know, but you just look so handsome in this button down," Michael spoke and pecked his lips.

Luke leaned down for another one but they were interrupted by a cry. They sighed and moved away to find their kids. Amelia was sitting on the floor, crying and Andrew was standing there with a guilty look on his face.

"What happened?" Luke asked, walking to Amelia to pick her up.

He bounced her gently and wiped her tears. She laid her head on Luke shoulder and sniffled.

"He hit me," She mumbled into his shoulder.

Michael looked at Andrew. "I didn't mean to!" He cried out.

Luke leaned down and set Amelia down in front of Andrew. She wiped at her eyes.

"Say sorry, Drew," Luke said.

"I'm sorry, Amelia," Andrew pouted.

Amelia nodded slowly and wrapped her small arms around Andrew. They stood in a hug for a while, causing Michael to awe.

"Okay, time to go," Luke said, picking Amelia back up.

Luke brought Andrew to Kindergarten and Amelia to daycare before going to work. Andrew nodded and grabbed his Spiderman bag and Luke leant down and grabbed Amelia's Little Mermaid bag.

"Bye baby," Michael said, walking with them to the door.

"Bye, Kitten," Luke said, kissing him quickly and leaving out the door.

Michael watched out the window as Luke packed the kids in the car and got in himself. He smiled to himself, another part of his daily routine. He loved seeing his husband with his kids, it just gave him this feeling of overall happiness.

When people say family is the most important part of your life, damn, were they ever right.
