Chapter 4

Laura:"VANESSA WHAT ARE YOU DOING WIH HIM AND WHO IS HE?"she said as Vanessa stopped sucking faces with some guy.

They pulled alway to find Riker.

Vanessa:"umm R-Riker I think I should be going now." She said as she ran to the house.

Laura:"No you aren't going anywhere, since when were you two a thing?" She asked as they followed Vanessa in the car.

Vanessa stopped and looked at them.

Vanessa:"it's none of your business anyway and why would you want to know.  Besides, you can't even give me some attention because your always with Maia.  That's why I asked you to go to the mall with me in the first place.  Just to hang out with you.  Just go to the mall with Maia..... Maybe she'll could be a better sister than me." She said as she snapped at them.

She then walked off.

Maia:"....that was awkward...."she said as she looked at Laura.

Laura:"yeah.. I didn't know she felt that way."she thought for a moment."I feel kinda guilty now."

Maia:"how about you can just take your mind off of things and I can take you to the mall?"she said nudging her.

Laura:"sure."she said smiling.

They drove off to the mall and entered inside Forever 21.

Maia:"sooo, how are you doing with the Jordan thing." She said referring to her Laura's ex as she looked through some clothes.

Laura:"I'm a little better now but I still miss him." She said trying out an outfit. "Does this dress make me look fat?"

Maia giggled

Maia:"no, you look gorgeous in it."she said looking up from the clothes. "I found a cute outfit for you though."

Maia gave her the outfit and Laura tried it on.  It was a floral dress that went up to her mid thighs.  It wasn't too fancy but it wasn't too casual either.

Laura:"I love! Let's go pay for it."she said as they stepped up to the counter.

Cashier:"that would be $27.98 please."she said.

Laura pulled out her cash but Maia already gave the cashier the money.  She gave them the bags and they walked out.

Laura:"well I guess we should get going.  I have to go to the library for his tutoring session."she said as they walked out the door.

Maia:"are you sure you don't wan Taco Bell? Starbucks.... Chipotle?"she said persuasively.

Laura:"maybe next time but I'm getting payed to do this."she said as they drove to the library."can you pick me up at 7?"she asked Maia.

Maia:"sure and then we'll get food."she said as she drove away.

Laura walked inside the library to see ross sat down at the table already.

Laura:"wow, your early."she said as she put her stuff down.

Ross:"well yeah,  I have nothing else to do anyways."he said as he got out his projects and homework.

After a couple hours they were finally done.

Laura:"great job today."she said as she got her stuff.

Ross:"thanks, I'll see you tomorrow at 6. I'll pick you up."he said as he grabbed his stuff too.

She walked out of the library to see Maia's car in the pick up area.

Laura got in the car and sat down.

Maia:"so is that the hottie that is going out with you tomorrow?"she said wiggling her eyebrows.

Laura:"he not THAT hot but he's pretty handso-"she said as she cut herself off realizing what she just said.

Maia:"OMG!!!! YOU TOTES HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM!!!!!"she said screaming but keeping her eyes on the road.

Laura:"NO I DO NOT! OK I WAS JUST TRYING NOT TO BE RUDE."she said as she clarified.

Maia:"yeah right. I better start planning the wedding."she said arriving at Laura's  house."I'll see you tomorrow so I can help you get ready for your 'date'."she said as she made air quotations with her hands.

Laura:" ITS NOT A DATE!" She shouted as she walked into her house.

Maia:"SURREE!"she said as she drove away.

But Little did Maia know that Laura had a the smallest, tinniest crush for him.
