It's 2am on a Friday night and I'm just now managing to get home from a party.. As I sneak through the window in my bedroom all the alcohol contained in my body decided to escape, and there I found myself running to the bathroom..
Waking up was torturous, meaning I was so hungover. I can't forget the fact that I didn't wake up till noon, and missed my shift lifeguarding at the local beach.. My job babysitting makes up for the fact I'm a terrible employee, because I still make money when things don't go my way. I'm sitting on the couch watching Friday Night Lights and drinking water hoping I'll feel better before whoever I'm supposed to watch gets here.
Letting you know this now, I'm 15 and already not so much in with the good crowd.. I go to parties and do the things they tell you not to do in school, and now all of a sudden there's a knock at the door, goodbye social life for the night.
"Hi, I'm Susanne, you must be Bridget.. Looks like I'm at the right house," says the tall blonde women standing before me with a long white dress that just sprakled, yet her daughter didn't seem so much like a kid to me.
"Yes you are ma'am, looks like you're having some fun tonight." which I honestly regretted saying, but words are like toothpaste, you can't take them back..
"Not really," she replied "just some banquet dinner, but this is my daughter Sofia." Sofia was different compared to her mother, with short brown hair and hazel eyes, yet what am I talking about, I'm getting paid $20 an hour to watch this girl, therefore there's no need to worry about her personal life.
"I'll take good care of her," I literally almost had to yell, for the girl's mother was already walking down the driveway back to her black Audi.
Sofia immediately took a seat right on the couch, plugged her phone into the wall, and put all her attention towards the bright little screen in her hand. On that note, I continued on watching my tv show with a bag of chips, and still slightly hungover from the night before. Then, I saw the mail man deliver our mail through the large glassy window in our living room, so instead of being productive I asked Sofia if she could go get it for me, and thank the lord for kids, not sure what I'd do without 'em.
It took her about two minutes to set it on the counter in the kitchen, and as I was putting my bag of potato chips back in our tall wooden pantry I decided to take a quick glance at the letter sitting before me.. Little did I remember I sent in an enrollment letter to Lakewood Catholic Academy early before my sophomore year started when people were giving me a hard time, and it looks like they finally decided to get back to me.
