ACASIA
Sana'y di magmaliw ang dati kong araw
Nang munti pang bata sa piling ni Nanay
Nais kong maulit ang awit ni Inang mahal
Awit ng pag-ibig habang ako'y nasa duyan
I brushed my hair, singing a lullaby. My lullaby. It had become my melody, my hymn, my prayer, my shout.
I don't remember when I learned this song. I can't even remember who taught it to me. It was just another part of the complicated mystery that is my life.
Maybe that's why singing this lullaby had been my daily ritual. I craved memories.
I stared at the girl in front of me.
Barely 5 foot.
Harboring the darkest eyes.
Pale skin.
Long curly hair. Not gray, not blonde. White.
Sana'y di magmaliw ang dati kong araw
Nang munti pang bata sa piling ni Nanay
Nais kong maulit ang awit ni Inang mahal
Awit ng pag-ibig habang ako'y nasa duyan
I smiled. A real one. The one I give to my sisters.
I closed my eyes and said the words I say to myself each day, hoping that maybe I will remember the speaker of these words today.
"Repeat after me, I am free."

That's the prologue, and I know I should have posted it last month but I was busy with the hell we all suffer called school.
I know it's short but it's supposed to be that way. It's just an introduction of the character, Acasia.
If I haven't told you before, the book is not only in Acacia's point of view. It's different every chapter. I will right the name of the person's pov in the begining of every chapter.
Just check it so you won't get confused.
Oh and the lullaby above is a Filipino lullaby:))
I will post the first chapter sometime this Aprill or May.
Thank you!<3
