I saw him tense and the smile on my face couldn't and wouldn't go away. He scanned my face and I must have looked insane but I wasn't. I was in love and I wouldn't let anyone take that away from me, not Yao or even his beloved sisters. I put the gun away and slowly made my way towards him. "Oh my Vanya. Don't take it personally, but I have to ensure you are mine and only mine. After all we were made for each other, even you have to acknowledge that." I cupped his face and leaned forward. "Don't look so shocked. Say you'll be mine and nothing will happen to your sisters of that man you call your lover." He frowned and I could see his lovely lilac eyes cloud with doubt. "I know you don't believe me Vanya but I will be sure they won't get hurt. I'll even keep them safe, just for you."
I leaned forward, our lips almost touching. "So, what do you say Vanya." I felt him place his hands on my shoulder and push me away. I felt a growl on the back of my throat and a sneer on my face. "You are crazy Alfred, absolutely crazy." I could sense the confusion and the undertones of hatred in his voice. He looked at me a little more before he turned around and walked away from me. He had the audacity to walk away from me. "Just think about it Vanya, you can't escape from me. We were destined to be together!" I yelled and grabbed my gun and threw it against the wall. I took in a few long breaths and calmed myself down. He would be mine and I would be his, we'd be together and nothing would stop us from being together, nothing.
Russia's POV
Everything was blurry. My breath was coming out in shallow pants, and my head was throbbing. I hadn't walked out of that building, no, I had ran as fast as I could. America's cold words hitting me again since I first heard them. The gun hadn't been a surprise I was quite used to America pulling a weapon on me it wasn't rare. The threats is what made my catch my breath the second they came out. They weren't subtle, they were thinly veiled death threats. Threats to the people that I loved even Yao Yao was involved. I felt my heart ache just thinking about Yao. We'd barely talked since the fight, I didn't even know how America got a hold of the information. Then again, this was America I was thinking about. Something was always off about him, he was always staring at me when we were in meetings. He was what causes me and Yao to fight, Yao's jealousy seeping through his words and body movement. It always hurt to remember that he had stopped when he started crying and told me to get away from him.
America was right, I hadn't slept with my lover for almost a month now. I had planned to apologize deeply when I got back to our house in Beijing. Now I couldn't, seeing Yao would put him in danger and God only knew if America had people watching me right this instant. Informing him of where I was going and who I was going to see. Fuck, we may even know what I had eaten in the morning before seeing him. I ran my gloved hand through my hair and wiped my forehead with my scarf. I took long breaths to calm me down and started calmly walking out of the building.
--
I arrived at my house later the same day, the magic of airplanes these days was astonishing. I immediately ran to my windows and closed them all, but not before checking to make sure no one was watching me house. I sighed and took off my jackets and sat down on my couch, hearing my cat Sunflower purr and rub against my leg. A bottle of vodka would do me some good right now, but I knew I had to be aware. I jumped when I heard a sudden crash in kitchen and ran to the kitchen, thoughts of someone breaking the window and knocking me out passed through me mind. I yanked the door open and saw Lithuania on the floor, picking up a broken plate. He immediately stood up when he saw me. "Mr. Russia I wasn't expecting you to be back to early. Usually you come a few days later, did the meeting go well." I quickly nodded and helped him pick up the broken pieces of the plate. I hissed when I felt a shard dug into my finger. Lithuania let out a small gasp before he grabbed my finger and dabbed it gently with a napkin. When he was done I thanked him and walked out of the kitchen.
I was making my way towards my room when I heard Estonia call after me. I turned around and glared at him. I watched him tense up and let out a small awkward smile, but his shivering was obvious. I always wondered why I scared them, something I'd have to ask later. "Mr. Russia, China called earlier and asked where you were and he also asked to call him back after you were done with the meeting." I nodded in acknowledgment and rubbed my temple, just what I needed, a mad Yao on my tail as well. "Thank you very much Estonia, I will be sure to call him back after I have rested." He nodded and quickly walked away.
Once I was in my room I took off my cap and my scarf. Running my hand through the back of my neck, the scars prominent as my calloused hands ran through them. I sat down on my bed and took of my boots. Turning to my window I groaned and got up and closed the curtains. The darkness surrounded me and I laid down and looked up at the ceiling. Just as sleep was ready to claim me the phone suddenly rang. I sat up and looked at the phone as it rang. I held my breath and grabbed the handle and put the earpiece to my ear.
"Ivan?"
