On his way out, Okita spotted a giant snowball and a familiar red back pushing it with ease. A brilliant idea hit him and he reached out for his walkie-talkie immediately.

"Hijikata-san. I've been hit. Over."

"Eh? Hit! By what?" Hijikata asked. Today was not his day. Five seconds in and the shogun was nowhere in sight. He should've never agreed to go on this excursion. Where was Yamazaki when he needed to vent?

"Can't-krshhh-hear-krshhh-you-krshhh."

"Oi, Sougo! Sougo!"

Ignoring the vice commander, Okita tucked the walkie-talkie into the inner folds of his uniform and ran after his little piggy. Meanwhile, Hijikata remained unconvinced and decided to try a more direct attack.

"You better not be stalking that China girl again!" He exclaimed.

Hijikata's words startled Okita and he fell out of balance in his attempt to block out Mayora's voice. Without realizing, he had pushed China into her own snowball.

"Shit." He spat out as he watched her become one with the snow.

China was not simply going to kill me. She was going to bury me deep within the mountain. Maybe 100 feet into the ground if I'm lucky.

He quickly ran after her, but how do you even stop a moving object as big as this without his sword or his bazooka?

Before the giant ball of snow could jump down the steep slope, he raced ahead to stop its motion. Unfortunately, the combination of freshly fallen snow under his feet along with gravity caused Okita to be engulfed into the cold, white mass.

"Mwahahahahahaha. Serves you right, sadist." Kagura laughed. She appeared as a head of vermillion hair above Sadist's head and was visibly thrilled at her enemy eating a mouth full of snow.

Why was it I decided to save China, again?

A few minutes passed without a reply and an irritated Hijikata threw his walkie-talkie into the distance. Sougo's silence could only prove that his suspicions were correct. He knew too well that the First Division Captain wouldn't go down that easily.

Little did Hijikata know that things were going further downhill than this. Literally.
