"Being royal is not about being born a prince or having a crown on your head, it's about being noble and doing what is right no matter how high the stakes are. You should fight for what is right at all costs, that's what makes a man royal."

-----

These words are the last words I've ever heard from my father, King Edmund, before he died.

I'm Prince Ethan Elwell and those words give me strength and power to move every mountain in my way.

Our family has ruled the kingdom for centuries. Our kingdom has stories that have been legends and these legends are handed down from generations to the next. Some people say that legends are just a stuff of fantasy, but some say that there are some legends that could be true.

Every summer, it's our tradition that every 16 year old boy of our kingdom's families should go to the woods for a hunt. Little did I know that in the middle of the hunt, I was about to change my life forever.

Chapter 1

"Rise and shine your highness, you're going to be late for your lessons."

I opened my heavy eyes and I see my servant, Armand, waking me up. He's more of like my loyal companion. We grew together in the palace and we are really close. Their family have served my family for centuries and we don't treat them like they we're different from us.

With a bright smile on his face he said "Good morning Prince Ethan."

I slightly laughed as I said. "Drop the "Prince" thing ok. It's kind of awkward."

I drag myself out of bed and do my usual morning routine. I changed into my trousers, my sleeves and my leather boots. I'm on my way to the great hall when I saw two knights bowing to my brother, Mark; because of the death of my father he took his place as king.

And because of it, lots of things have changed; things weren't how they were used to be.

Omnipotence have blinded him of the ways he should rule our kingdom, as he grew stronger, the kingdom grows weaker. His ways are much different from our fathers, he decides without thinking. As I pass by him I smiled at him for courtesy and he sit back on his golden throne with a lion's face on the arm rest and rubies for its majestic eyes.
