"Are you there daddy? Mama Kate and I went to a charity today. I begged her to because I know that's what you would do. We gave some of the money you left for me to the children"
"I played with the children today daddy! This is the first time that I actually played with random kids today daddy, I was only allowed to play with family members when you were here. We read books too! We read a shorter version of Peter Pan because that was our favorite, remember daddy? We also read a story about ants, turtles, and so many more"
"Today was fun daddy, I hope that you were there with me"
"Were you there daddy?"
"Are you there daddy?"
"I really hope you're here daddy, you promised me, remember daddy?"
The little girl showed no sign of sadness, her eyes were bright, shining like the stars above her. Her voice did not crack at all, she was filled with joy.
She stood on the balcony of her room, looking up at the sky, to the biggest star just a few feet away from the moon to be exact.
"l miss you daddy"
"I hope to see you very soon"
"I love you so so so so much daddy"
