She felt the warmth leave her body, his hand slipped from her cheek and tears slipped down both of their cheeks. He smiled and closed his eyes. Remaining frozen as the last of his life slipped from his body. Her gentle fire leaving her to the cold. The darkness swam around her, her mother, her father, Aquarius, now him. They all left her alone. She heard a scream, a desperate call for help, a anguished call for help. And she realized, it was her. His clothes were stained with scarlet red, she gently unwound the white scarf and clutched it to her chest. Tears flowing freely and sobs breaking free. Everyone was buzzing around her. Magnolia police covering his lifeless body and carrying it away. Only then did they let Levy through. And she made a beeline to the blonde. Her eyes lingering only for a second on the puddle of drying blood before gathering the celestial mage in her arms. Holding her as Lucy shook with sobs of devastation and loneliness. She had his blood on her, and she noticed the cloth gripped tightly in her cold fingers. "Oh lucy... let's get you to the guild.." her voice small and uncertain, but heard by the bluenette "okay..." levy helped the girl stand and walk to the guild. As they walked through the doors the quiet chattering stopped and a blue flash of fur flew straight to Lucy. Happy, although he knew the answer, didn't want to belive it. "Lu-shee... he... he isn't... Natsu can't... be..." lucy looked up, and gently envoloped the small cat into her arms. "I-i-im sorry h-ha-happy" she was still crying. Dead silence throughout the guild as they watched the two closest to the fiery tempered mage morn.
Lucy remained shut in her apartment, if levy hadn't been forcing lucy to take showers and eat, she would've died herself. Happy stayed at the guild, Wendy taking care of him until lucy was better. Even Carla showed sympathy to Him. The guild started arranging a memorial for the mage, and when the time came. They were surprised to see lucy, dressed in a loose fitting pale pink sundress in the back. She had a red rose in her hand, while the others had white. And none stood up to pay their respects to him, not until the blonde had stood in silence by the river they had opened the box of ashes and scattered them in. It was the river that he and happy often had fished at. She started sobbing, breaking down. She fell to her knees and cried. Placing the single rose in the water and pushing it into the current. She stood and ran into the woods and into the city to her apartment. Closing the door and crying out her pain. Her spirits watched, used to the nights she spent sobbing. She sat in a corner and cried and cried. She cried herself to sleep. And when she awoke she found Leo kneeling in front of her "princess... it'll be okay" she looked up at the lion. "Will it Leo? Or is this just another empty promise to make me feel better" she stood and dressed, grabbing her ring of keys and heading out of her apartment and to the guild. She walked up the stairs to the second level and walked back down after grabbing a paper. No one was paying attention, and she slipped out of the doors and onto the train.
It stomped again, causing the ground to shake and vibrate. Lucy lost her balance and threw one last attack at the monster. Effectively killing it. She dropped to the ground. Four hours of constant fighting and wounds exhausted her. She sighed and smiled, her own blood now staining his scarf. "I can finally join you Natsu" she sighed and felt a release, she opened her eyes and looked around. Grassy plains filling the area around her. She smiled with excitement. "NATSU!?" she called. And felt her heart burst when she saw him walking down a hill towards her. "Luce?! What are you doing here?!" She hugged him tightly "I wanted to join you, I've missed you so much..." she smiled and relaxed in his arms. "Lucy, it's not your time. You have to go back" she felt the tears slipping down her cheeks. "N-no... you can't just leave me alone!" She felt a pained tug on her heart, and she was yanked back in her body. "No Natsu..." she sobbed.
"Why?"
