The boisterous young lad had once again found his way through the unending hallways and back to where he knows she would be – every single second of every single time of every single day – he just knows and never asked why. But why would he ask why?

With the usual replies of beautiful, cheerful smiles, Luhan opted to stay back and look of her from afar. He took one step at a time but never did his gaze wander off from hers. Lovisa watched him the same way he did with her eyes directed only at him. It was just for a brief moment yet it held so many unsaid things. Things that no one dared to say but still understood.

They spent another perfect day staying in each other’s arms.

“I had the weirdest dream last night,” But instead of a wary face, it was a smile that surfaced and a chuckle that left him as he tells her everything. “I saw, you…me…then you again…and then me again! It was like I’ve travelled back in time. Weird – but it was – I don’t know…fun?”

Luhan was so immersed in telling her all that was in it. Every single detail, up to the smallest part was told in exaggeration mixed with pure innocence. Lovisa only lets him be and her only response was a giggle or two when Luhan tries to over exert more effort in his stories. He would stand in front of her and re-enact the whole thing, and if that was still not enough for him, he would find some various things left on the ground and use them as his own props, like a vibrant child telling all the wonders he had seen in his short journey to the park.

But, when it came to one of the most crucial part of the story, he paused and looked away. Luhan’s face dimmed a little before he asked in a weak, fading tone. “You – you’re not dead….right?”

Lovisa looked taken aback in the corner of his eyes. Yet, Luhan can’t dare believe she chortled for a few and teased. “What do you think?”

“Well…. O-of course, not! If you were, then you won’t be here with me, right? Right?!” And there he goes again, shifting back to the mirthful person he really is. Though creeped out, he managed to laugh off all of his preposterous thoughts and focused his mind again to the beautiful lady in front of him.

Lovisa assented cheerfully. “I promised, didn’t I? That I’d stay with you…forever.”

“And don’t you dare break that promise, promise?”

Their sweet laughter echoing in the garden led the short afternoon to blink right passed them. Soon enough, nightfall came. Even though it was still Christmas, somehow Luhan had forgotten everything about it. All the intensity and all the pressuring craziness of last night – poof – just like that and it was gone, blown away with the wind that never will come back. To Luhan, what matters right now is that she’s there. Lovisa’s there right next to him and nothing more.

From above, two pairs of observant eyes kept watch of him, silently recording his behavior. They saw how Luhan smiled, how Luhan played, and how Luhan fell lying on the frosted ground laughing without a single care in the world. He had found a spec of Heaven right there – right next to her.

Luhan noticed as he played that Professor Oh was there, smilingly looking at him from the balcony in the second floor. He waved and beamed him a wide grin. How endearing, the Professor thought. It took him some time before he could step back and averts his looks from that angelic face which lingered in the dark. To see how someone like him smiled amidst of everything was just too much. The Professor might have faked a smile back and waved goodbye but it was clear that the interest he garners for Luhan only increased and strengthened his misunderstood feelings deep within.
