𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 within the dank hall, Alysane and Dacey ate in silence, sharing looks across the table that they could comprehend but no others could. Perhaps Lyra if she tried hard enough, but she was otherwise engaged.
"Tell us about the war, mother." Jorelle asked eagerly, fighting with Lyanna over the last potato that was, arguably, not good enough to fight over, yet the two growling girls persisted in the squabble, nonetheless.
"And the King!" Lyra added with a gleaming smile that most young women in The North had when referring to the King. Alysane remembered the King, having fought alongside him several times during the war. She had only spoken to him on a handful of occasions, but her loyalty to him had never faltered, and likely never would.
"The King?" Maege smirked slyly, glancing at the two eldest girls that sat on either side of her, though they said nothing on the matter. "He was a fierce fighter, true to the title The Young Wolf, I must say, yet a gentleman none the same. Catelyn raised him well, and a what a woman she was; took a shine to you, Alysane, am I not mistaken?" All heads jolted in the direction of the girl in question, whose hair still hung down in front of her face, an awful place to hide in a crowded room. Alysane did not enjoy reminiscing stories of the King and the War as if it were a fairytale. She'd been there, she had seen the horrors that had taken place inside and outside of the battlefield, and it was not as if Robb Stark had been born a king, he had to claw his way to that position and hold onto it in spite of the cost to both him and his bannermen. There was a lot of damage done in order for one man to keep a crown, even when he did deserve it.
