Chapter 8

(General)

Break time, pumasok si Batchi sa loob ng opisina ni Althea. She slide down an envelope on Althea's table. A small envelope.

"What is that?" Althea asked her curiously. Batchi chuckled at binuksan ang maliit na envelope.

"Obvious naman na envelope." Batchi sarcastically answered, raising her left eyebrow. Althea didn't notice the sarcasm instead still dumbfounded about the envelope.

"Para sa akin ba yan?" muling tanong ni Althea. Batchi clenched her lips and gritted her teeth.

"Oo!" iritang sagot ni Batchi at napahilamos sa mukha. Althea gave her a soft shrug and open the small envelope and unfold the letter.

She felt amused. "A letter?"

"Yup. Pia called and she wants to talk to you." seryosong sagot ni Batchi nilalaro laro ang ballpen sa ibabaw ng table ni Althea.

Althea nodded and put the letter back inside the envelop, not even trying to read.

Nag taka naman si Batchi sa ginawa ni Althea.

"Bakit hindi mo binasa?" nag tataka at nasisimulang mairitang tanong ni Batchi.

"Bakit? Hindi ba yung sinabi mo ang nakalagay dito?" taka ring tanong ni Althea.

"Hindi. Ano ka ba? Basahin mo na lang nga kapag kinausap mo na si Pia." inis na sagot ni Batchi at tumayo.

"Okay. When and Where?" Althea asked putting the envelope inside her bag

"Sa LIM Coffee shop" sagot ni Batchi.

Althea nodded "Oh, okay." Ngumiti si Althea. Nag-gesture si Batchi na lalabas na sya ng mag salita muli si Althea "Saan yon?"

"Argh! Sa Pasay" gigil na sagot ni Batchi.

"Ah sa Pasay. Eh, saan naman yon?" muling tanong ni Althea unaware sa busangot na mukha ni Batchi.

"Argh!" Batchi grumbled and go out.

Althea rolls her eyes and continue her works.

2 hrs later, Althea fix her things and ready to go. Tinext sya ni Pia na mag kikita sila. At sinabi nito ang daan.

Pumasok si Batchi sa loob and offered something. "Oh? Hatid na kita sa Pasay" Batchi offered.

Althea nodded and gave her a quick smile. Batchi slightly shook her head. Althea now is just like Althea way back on their high school days. Always dumbfounded but intelligent in some things. Smiling with those people who she only knows.

"Uh, Batchi? May sasakyan ba ako dati?" tanong ni Althea habang inaayos ang seatbelt.

"Oo" tipid na sagot ni Batchi.

"Marunong ba ako mag drive dati?" muling tanong nito kay Batchi.

"Sa tingin mo? Bakit ka pa nag karoon ng sasakyan kung hindi ka marunong mag drive? To rin eh" sarcastic na sagot ni Batchi.

"Yeah, you're right. Sorry. Paano mamaya pag uwi? Susunduin mo ba ako?" Althea asked. Kanina habang nasa loob ng opisina nya, she thought of her driving skills kung marunong ba talaga sya.

Kung meron syang sasakyan bakit hindi pinapakita sa kanya. She wanted to learn how to drive and want to have one, para sa kanya sasakay si Jade. Then they could go wherever they want.

"Hindi si Pia na lang mag hahatid sayo." Sagot ni Batchi.

"Bakit hindi mo na lang ako turuan mag drive? At saka nasaan ba ang sasakyan ko?" Althea asked again. She has a point, bakit nga ba hindi sya turuan nina Batchi na mag-drive?
