Glitch in the Timeline

Something's wrong with Papyrus

I walk home, trudging through the snow. Eh, I'm pretty much used to it..I walk through the door, kicking some snow off the bottom of my shoes. "I'm home! Papyrus, you h-.."  He was slouched over, sitting on the couch, looking more 'out of it' than usual..."..H-hey..are you okay..?" He didn't respond. "...Papyrus..snap outta it.." I put my hand on his shoulder and he felt like ice. I gasp and look at his face. "Papyrus! C'mon, it's me! Snap outta it!" He was just....staring into the distance... Something was up..something was up and I felt it deep in my gut. He mumbled "...the timeline...something's wrong..i...i just can figure out what..." He looked like he was about to cry.."...stay safe...please nara...i don't want to lose anybody..." "...the timeli-.....I-I'll stay safe...." What was he going on about...? I felt something was wrong and I didn't know what. I give him a light hug and he hugged me very tightly, on the verge of tears. Sans walks in the door and he lets go, plastering a large smile on his face "..hey bro." "BROTHER, YOU PICKED UP THE SOCK. THE MAGNIFICENT SANS IS VERY PROUD OF YOU!"  Papyrus grinned but his eyes just got...darker..as if there was nothing left in him..as if he was...empty...
~ An Hour After ~
Sans made tacos and I helped, as usual. After everyone ate, Sans went upstairs and Papyrus tucked him into bed, reading him his bedtime story. I always watch this and it's admittedly really cute. Afterwards, Papyrus went to bed and I did shortly after. Everything looked fine..but it didn't feel like it...I saw no difference in the day, well, except Papyrus...seeing him like that..I could barely sleep...the only difference was when I woke up.....
