Chapter 8

I walk out the door and heard soft music playing.

It sounded like classical.

Adam walked out of his room and started walking towards me.

"Remember what I told you." Adam asked

"Yes, behave and mingle" I replied

"Good girl." He said with a smirk on his face.

He offered his elbow to me and I wrapped my hand around it.

He escorted me down stairs to the main entrance.

Guest started arriving and Adam welcomed them.

After a while all the guest seemed to have showed up.

He directed everyone into the dining room and they all sat down.

Waiters started to bring out dishes.

The first course was a salad. Every one was talking about random things.

The next course came out. It was a butter squash cream soup.

Adam gave me a look. His look told me to start talking to people.

I didn't know what to talk about. I didn't really want to talk.

I excused myself from the table and headed to the bathroom.

I shut the door and just broke down. I didn't want to be here.

I wanted to be with my family, I wanted to be home.

But I was taken away from all that. He took me away from my family, my friends, my home.

There was a knock at the door.

I opened the door. It was Erik, he was a party guest.

"Everything all right?" He asked

"Yes I'm fine" I replied

"Are you sure?" He asked concerned

"Yeah" I said looking down

"Okay, do you want to go back to the party?" He asked

"What is this party even for?" I asked

"It's an auction, all of us a bidding for you" he said

"What?" I asked shocked

"Yeah we're all bidding against each other to buy you and take you home" he said

"Oh my god" I said shocked. I ran up to my room and shut the door.

I looked around to try to find something to escape with.

I saw the window. It was locked. I took a lamp and smashed the window and crawled out of it.
