Well my day started off like any other day. I sat up and starting writing in this diary. Everyone just avoids me. They are scared of me. I don't mind, and neither do I blame them. They probably see me as a freak anyway. I'm not really sad about this though. I just got used to it. I hate talking to people anyway.
I assumed the first day of school would go on like usual. Except for the fact my mom dropped me off an hour early and I was forced to stand in the rain after she drove away. For about thirty minutes I stood near the door of the school alone until the first car pulled up.
The car was red. I have no other way to describe it. I have no accurate knowledge of cars. So I had no idea what sort of car it was it was just red. I watched it pull up into the parking lot. The door slammed open and a girl skipped out happily. She seemed younger than me but of course she was taller.
Me? Shorter than someone younger than me? Yet another thing I am used to. My whole family is tall but me. I don't have growth problems or anything. I just have the "unlucky genes". I am four feet tall and I am twelve. The doctor says I only have a little more growth and that's it. Also unlike everyone else in my family I have green eyes and black hair. I ask my mom often if I was adopted but she always just shakes her head and ignores me. I still wonder till this day if she is lying.
Anyway, the girl was wearing a pink rain jacket. The car drove off when the girl got her back pack. The girl looked strait at me. She must have noticed I was the only human there and I was staring at her the whole time. I was expecting to hear like "oh what the fuck you stalker" from her lips any time soon but instead she amazed me. She trotted happily up to me. When she was three feet in front of me I backed up a slight bit.
She took down her hood. She had long red hair and freckles spotted her face. She had green eyes like I do. If I knew what she was going to do I would have ran. What she did was so unexpected I jumped.
The girl put out her hand for me to shake. "Hi! I'm new here. My name is Liz!" She said excitedly. I didn't know what to say. I was never used to being treated like a human. It was overwhelming. I stayed silent and pretended she wasn't there.
Liz's smile turned into a look of confusion and she put her hands in her pockets. "What's your name?" She said after a moment. I abandoned the thought that if I was silent maybe she would go away. So maybe talking was the only way.
"Um...", I started awkwardly as I shuffled my feet. "My-my names Timmy. Timmy Locksworth."
Liz's smile returned and she giddily hopped in place. "Want to be friends?" She asked. All I could think at that point was a single question. Why the hell would you walk up to a random person and ask if they wanted to be friends? I didn't speak for a couple seconds. Liz just smiled at me warmly as if she was looking into my soul. I hated it."I-I just met you", I stuttered.
"You don't want to be friends?" Liz asked her expression changed to sad. She did the "sad dog look" at me.
"No no that's not what I meant", I explained.
"Yay then we are friends!" Liz yelled.
Before I could say I barely knew her and that we couldn't be friends she grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me to the playground. I nearly dropped my notebook as she pulled me quickly. She looked back at me as we were running."Come on slow poke!" She yelled.
I tried to say to stop but all that came out were deep breaths of effort.
When she let go of my wrist she hopped onto the swings and yelled in delight. I gripped the note book with my left hand as my right hand was on my knee. I was panting. I am not used to running at all.
