It was a beautiful wedding. It was everything Sam imagined. He was in a black tux with red bowtie, Gabe wearing a similar black suit with a black bowtie.

It was a plain wedding with a little Gabriel kick to it. Meaning there was candy everywhere. Plus everyone was required to wear moose horns after the vows were said. Everyone wished them a long and happy marriage and Dean just basically said 'you hurt my brother I will shoot your face off.'

After the wedding the two shared their love by finally making love to each other.

The first few months were beautiful, they'd had their fights like any other normal couple and every make-up reminded Sam exactly why he fell in love with the short beautiful man. There was no one else he'd rather wake up to every morning. Especially mornings after having a kinky night.

It was the fifth month after the marriage that Sam had let it slip that he wanted a baby. They enjoyed babysitting Dean and Cas' baby Caleb so why not adopt their own? So that's exactly what they did. They went down to a local orphanage and adopted a baby who was only a few months old.

According to the Orphanage Director, Olivia, the baby was left on a bus stop bench most likely to die. The mother had died attempting to get the baby away from the father. She was found dead in her apartment building with a bag packed. The father had been arrested, but refused to give the whereabouts of the baby until he was interrogated by one of the best cops in the Bureau.

It turns out the baby had a few medical problems, some that can eventually go away and some that can't. The baby had asthma and she'd been in the emergency room for a few heart murmurs. Other than that she just had a tenancy to get sick a lot since her immune system was weak for a baby. Despite all that they fell in love with her, and adopted her anyway, naming her Sabrina.

She around the clock attention so Sam was the stay at home dad while Gabe worked half the day. They loved Sabrina as much as they loved each other.

Sabrina was staying the night at Dean and Cas' house so Sam and Gabe had the house to themselves and were loving it. Until after the sex the next day Gabe turned to Sam and said Sabrina wasn't coming home.

"I don't understand. Why not?"

"Sam, sit down. There's something I have to tell you."

Confused Sam sat on the couch and stared at Gabe. "You said my name regularly. Gabe, what's wrong, where's my baby?"

"Sabrina is fine. It's me."

"Hon, you're not making any sense."

Gabe took in a shuddered breath like be was holding back tears. Slowly he let his wings spring from his back. Sam stared in shock at his husband, "y-you have wings?"

"Yeah," Gabe said with glassy eyes, "I'm an angel now."

"Wait now?"

Gabe sniffed, "Sam, you've been in a coma, and you haven't woken up."

Sam's eyes widened, "how much of this has been a dream?"

"I can't tell you that, you have to wake up and see. I've been trying to think of a way to get you up for awhile now."

"Don't."

Gabe sighed, "Sam-"

"No, Gabe!" Sam shed a few tears, "I don't wanna know what's waiting for me in the real world. I don't wanna wake up and find out we were never married, or to find that we never had Sabrina, or to find out you were never in my life to begin with!"

Sam sobbed and put their foreheads together, holding Gabe's hand, "I don't want to lose you."

Gabe cupped Sam's cheeks and kissed him. "I love you Sam. I love you so much. You were, no, are the light of my life. I would give anything if things would stay the way they are right now, but you need to wake up."

Sam sobbed again as tears poured down both their cheeks. Gabe took off one of the matching bracelets they had gotten for their anniversary and put it on Sam. "Take this with you in the real world."

"Gabe," Sam sobbed again, "I love you."

"I love you too, Sammich." Gabe said kissing Sam.

Then everything went white.

"He's awake! Someone call the doctor!" Sam heard a familiar voice call.

"Sammy? Sammy can you hear me?"

Sam groaned as his eyes finally adjusted, "Dean?"

"Daddy!" a small voice called jumping on Sam.

Suddenly, Sam came to a realization and shot up staring at the little girl beneath him. Sam wrapped his arms around her tightly and planted kisses all over her face. Then turned to Dean, "where's Gabe?"

Dean just looked at him with sorrow. "Dean, where is my husband? What happened?"

Dean took Sam's hand in his comfortingly. "Sam, you've been in a coma for four months."

Sam's eyes filled with tears as the fear of what was coming next hit him. "Dean, don't tell me. Please don't say he's..."

Dean hugged his brother tightly, "I'm sorry Sammy."

Sam bawled. That was all he could do. "You two were going on a trip," Dean softly continued as Cas came back, "you had left Sabrina with us. You were on your way back when a deer ran in front of you. Gabe tried to move the car so it wouldn't hit anyone else, and he succeeded but ended up slamming the side of the car into a tree. The doctor said he held on for as long as he could, but he didn't make it Sammy. I'm sorry."

Sam couldn't speak. His brother, brother in-law and daughter just held him as he continued to cry clutching the bracelet in his hand.
