The Path to Destruction

This is Destruction's past. She is Moonlight's mother. With this u guys will learn what happened to Moonlight's father and why Destruction hates her daughter so much and why she basically hates the whole land.

It was a nice early morning as the dew dripped from the tree leaves above a great black dragon that lays in the shadows of the trees.  Destruction is her name, but don't let the name fool you. She is a really nice dragon to know. She was watching over her only egg as her mate was preparing to leave for the day. Nightcrawler is her mate and a skilled hunter and thief. He was going out to try to get some treasure for his soon to be child. Destruction tried to talk him out of it because he was going to the skywing treasure room.

"Please Nightcrawler. Don't go. Its dangerous to try to steal from the skywing queen." Destruction pleads to the dark purple dragon.

"Don't worry. Ill get a small necklace or ring for our dragonet. Queen Crimson will never know it's missing." He tried to reassure his mate. She looked at him, worry in her eyes.

"Please be safe....." Destruction said as her mate began to walk away.

"I will." He grins back at her and disappears into the darkness of the trees. She really worries about him sometimes.

Following Nightcrawler......

Nightcrawler quickly made his way through the dark forest and soon found himself standing under the mountains. He takes to the skies and flies north until the sky kingdom was in sight. He flew around and landed behind the palace.

He snuck in the shadows while the evening  grew  darker in the mountains. He snuck through the halls and soon found the treasure room. He looks around and finds a nice ruby necklace. He quickly grabs it and puts it in his small bag.

He quickly gets out of the treasure room before someone sees him. As he exits the room, an orange skywing stares at him, smoke rising from her nostrils.

"You! What were you doing in there!" The skywing asks. The queen stood in front of him. He knows of her ability and tries to think of a way to get out alive.

"I was just admiring your treasure collection." Nightcrawler said. The queen glares at him. "Sorry should I have asked? I've been to the Nightwing Queen's treasure room and she doesn't have to give permission."

"Of course you need permission and a guard! I'm not as loose like your queen!" She growls.

"I'm sorry. I'll ask for permission next time...." he said. She glares at him as he walks down the halls. He gets back outside and is relieved. He takes to the skies and begins to return home.

He was almost home when the moons began their decent. He felt someone watching him. He decided to land and look around. He decides to walk the rest of the way.

Now back with Destruction and her egg......

Destruction kept watch for her mate to return, hiding in the shadows under the dark trees. She sees her mate, but something seems odd. He's looking around. She stays hidden. She watches as Nightcrawler looks around. Something came up from behind him, a skywing. A deep red skywing came up and clawed at his back. Nightcrawler quickly turned to face his attacker. The skywing began to claw at his neck and face. Nightcrawler didn't have time to react and now he lays on the ground, bleeding out. The skywing returns to the sky and Destruction walks over to her dying mate. He held out his small bag.

"F-for our....c-child......" he said. Destruction pulled the necklace out. It was beautiful. She placed it back in the bag and watched as he mate breathes his last breath.

"Nightcrawler.... darn those skywing! I hate them all!" Destruction began to cry, but she was to angry to notice that she dropped the bag and left it by her mate. She went back over to her lone egg and noticed it was already beginning to hatch. The silver speckled egg shook violently until a hole forms. The egg began to shatter, revealing a dark purple dragonet standing in the moons' light. Destruction looked up at the moons.

"One full moon. You are a mind reader. Moonlight you are." Destruction looked at her dragonet. Crimson stars shown under her small wings. Destruction saw her mate in her daughter and it made her angry.

As the years went on Moonlight became more and more like her father which made Destruction even angrier. She hates all now because the world too her lover. She would even take her anger out on Moonlight by pinching her snout until it bleeds. She never acknowledged her daughter's achievement in assassin class. She even leaves her daughter to travel around, murdering any Skywing she finds. That's when she is found by her new mate Diamondback and that's when everything leads to Destruction.
