Lindsays POV
I woke up to a sharp pain in my stomach. "adam. Adam wake up!" i said shaking him. "babe whats wrong? Its 2:00am" he groaned. "its time." adam sat up. "what do you mean its time?" he asked nervously. "my water broke." i said. Adam jumped out of bed grabbed the hospital bag and grabbed his keys "get in the car!" he screamed down the stairs. Adam sped through the stop lights "adam slow down.Adam! Youre driving to fast!" i yelled. Adam was in complete focus. Ive never seen adam drive so fast before. "adam. Please slow down. This is dangerous." i demanded. I saw a huge pick up truck coming. "adam stop the car. Youre not going to make it." i yelled. Adam pushed on the gas pedal harder. "im going to make it" he whispered. "adam no!" we made it half way until the the pick up truck hit the back of our car and made us roll over multiple times. Adam held his hand on my stomach. When the car stopped rolling i looked over at adam and saw him face down into the steering wheel. "adam! are you okay?" i yelled. I could hear a siren in the distance. "everythings going to be okay." i said grabbing his hand. I could feel the contractions getting stronger.. I could feel myself getting sleepy. The ambulance finally came. He got me out of the car and into the ambulance. "wheres adam?!" i screamed. "hes okay. We need to get you to a hospital you could have this baby any minute." the guy said. When they got to the hospital i was rushed to a delivery room. "i cant do this without adam." i told the nurse. "well they have adam in icu" she told me. "they what?! Why is he there?!" i asked. "ma'am please try to calm down youre stressing out the baby." they gave me an epidural to make the delivery as easy as possible for me. "okay lindsay push!" the doctor said. "ughhh." i moaned "youre doing great!" "give me one more big push" he added just like that my baby girl was born. 8pounds and 10 ounces. "so lindsay. Have you and adam decided on a name yet? The nurse asked. "Aubree Nicole" I said smiling. "what a beautiful name!" "thanks Adam picked it" i told her. "well he picked a fabulous name" she smiled. "yeah..he did.."
Adams POV
I woke up in a hospital bed, with all kinds of IVs on me. I grabbed my call button "yes mr.levine how may i help you?" the nurse asked "wheres Lindsay? Is she okay? Did she get hurt? Is she here?" i asked. "please calm down. Lindsays fine. But she was having trouble breathing so we had to take her up to the ICU also. Thats where you are." she told me "is she okay? Is the baby going to be okay?" "the baby was already born. She was 8 pounds and 10 ounces." she said. I sat there in shock. "i missed my first childs birth?" i asked. "yes. Im so sorry." the nurse said. "get me out of this bed," i demanded." "sir no. You need these IVs youre on a very thin line right now. Youre lucky to be alive that crash could have killed you." she told me. "can you please keep me updated on lindsay? Please?" i asked. "of course i will be sure to tell you as soon as i get more information..
****a few days later****
Adams POV
I was finally allowed to get out of my bed as long as i kept the IVs connected. I walked to the nursery to see my baby girl for the first time. "am i allowed to hold her?" i asked. "well of course! Here ill let you in" she opened the door and leaded me to Aubree "hi sweetheart. Im your daddy." i said picking her up. "you look just like your mommy." i smiled. "she has your eyes ya know." i turned around. "jesse. When did you get here?" i asked. "i was with lindsay the whole time." he said. "so you saw aubree be born?" i asked. "um..yeah was that wrong? Should i not have been there?" he asked. "no its perfectly fine. Im glad you were there. You would have been there anyway." i smiled. "so is she okay?" i asked him "shes scrapped up pretty bad. After Aubree was born she was having some serious issues with her breathing and i think she is having some internal issue too." he told me. The nurse rush into the nursery. "excuse me mr levine your needed in lindsays icu room. Hurry." she ran out of the room. "jesse take Aubree." i said. I got to lindsays room. She had a bunch of doctors around her. "whats going on? Is she okay?" i asked. "well she stopped breathing a couple times. If this continues she could die." he told me. "no..this cant happen. Lindsay please you can make it through this. I know you can. Please i cant raise this baby without you." i whispered. The doctors tried for hours and hours to fix things. Everything failed. Finally the doctors gave up. "im so sorry but theres nothing we can do..it would be a blessing if she made it through to tomorrow night. I suggest you call the family so they can say their goodbyes." he said. I called jesse up to her room "hey bring aubree up here." i told him. When jesse got up there i was on the phone with lindsays grandparents. "hi..i dont know how to tell you this..but lindsay is in the icu and i think its best you come up here as soon as possible." i said. "were on our way. See you soon" i hung up with them and called the guys. "james. Call all the guys and tell them to come up to the hospital." i told him "why?" he asked "lindsays in the icu. And its best if you guys come up here now. To say your goodbyes." i said. "im on it Adam. Hang in there man. Be there soon. Bye." i walked over and looked at lindsays machines. "this is all my fault" i said. "no its not. You didnt know how to act." jesse told me. "no. You dont understand. Lindsay told me to slow down. But i waz to fucking stupid to listen to her. This is my fault. Its my fault shes going to die. Everything.its all my fault. She wouldnt be going through this if it wasnt for me. What am i suppose to tell aubree. Oh your mommy isnt here because i killed her." i yelled."adam please calm down. Just sit and relax. Everything will be okay." he said. I sat there on the couch feeding aubree. "im so sorry babygirl. I really am." i whispered. She just looked at me with her big blue eyes. "i swear you look just like you mommy." i smiled
We stayed there all night. The guys finally got there. Mickey and Matt were holding aubree while james tried to calm me down. I got a call from lindsays grandparents "adam. What room is she in? We just got here." he grandma asked. "room 134" i told her. I stepped out into the hallway "guys right here!" i said motioning them. "hello there hun. Is lindsay doing any better?" maple asked. "not so much..she only has till tomorrow night.." i told her. Lindsays grandpa lee cams into the room and grabbed me by my neck. "you son of a bitch you killed my granddaughter." he yelled "lee get off of him!" maple yelled. He let go and threw me to the ground. Aubree started crying. "aww sweetie its okay dont cry daddys here. Shh its okay." i said rocking here back to sleep. "is..is this my great grandbaby?" lee asked. "yeah. It is. You never gave me a chance to tell you." i said. Lee sat down with Aubree. The time went by so fast. Before we knew it..the night time was coming again..this was the night. We all stood around lindsays bed. "james would you like to go first?" "okay..lindsay i didnt know you for very long. But you were a really great friend and adam was a very lucky to have you. Go ahead mickey.." he said "lindsay..you were a fantasic friend..you were always laughing and smiling.thats what i loved most about you.." we finally got to lindsays grandma.. She couldnt even finish her sentence. Matt and Lee had to take her out of the room. "uh..guys can me abd jesse have a moment please? I asked "of coursd come on mickey lets go to the snack machines." i sat next to lindsays bed. "im so sorry..please..please forgive me. Please. I love you and you know that..always remember that..i promise i will take care of this baby as best as i can. Ill always tell her about you too. So she'll never forget you. Nobody will ever take your place. Not in my life or aubrees life. Youre our one and only wife and mommy. Lindsay i love you more than anything..more than you could ever imagine..im just so sorry..goodbye." i said kissing her on the forehead. "mr levine. Its time. Did you say your goodbyes?" the doctor asked. "yes sir." the doctor went to lindsays life support plug..i held her hand as i watched him move closer to it. As soon as he had his hand on the plug i felt lindsay squeeze my hand. "wait!" i yelled.."shes alive SHES ALIVE!" the doctor stood up. "she just squeezed my hand." lindsay slowly opened her eyes.. "lindsay youre alive jesse go find everyone!" i said "of course i am." she smiled. "wheres aubree at?" she asked "right here." i said handing her aubree. "hi there sweetie. Mommy missed you" everyone came rushing in "lindsay youre alive!" they yelled. "i know i am. Why would i be?" she asked. "you were on life support. You were going to die. So adam called everyone to come say goodbye." james said. "oh my gosh.." she said. "but everythings fine now. Youre alive aubrees healthy.. And we have all the most important people in our lives with us tonight." i said kissing her on the forehead.
