The start: Ember

          '10 more minutes then I can finally check on them' I thought to myself pacing outside the hospital door were my mom sat down being checked my the doctor, my dad had died off not to long before hand from a sickness there poking around at. I walked around a little more and decided to get some water and try to wrap my head around the situation.

          :3 Days earlier: My dad laid in his bed sickly as my mom sat on her knees wobbling trying not to cry, I walked in to notice there was a trickle of blood slowly going down his mouth as he tried to talk to her.  "You promised you wouldn't die" my mom cried, he looked over and smiled giving her a kiss on the head. "I won't as long as you care about me" he said gently as he lay back on the bed and closing his eyes. 

          :Present: A tear went down my face as I snapped back into reality, I slowly stumbled through the hospital while more tears went down my face, I arrived at the door and knocked the doctor stood and welcomed me in calmly. "Ember the sickness is still unknown but your mom caught on to it around the same time as your dad and may die sooner today." The tears let loose and I began to cry and fell by her bed my mom looked up at me and began to speak in a raspy voice "You know you shouldn't be stealing." she smiled "Those eyes belong to me along with that red hair." Her voice was going slowly into a whisper as she continued talking, she leaned up for the last time to kiss my head and there she lay down and gave one last breath. I began to yell hopping she had just went into a comma but the doctor grabbed me by the arms and threw me out. I sat on the ground with nothing to do but cry, my phone buzzed and I took it out to look at it, it was Kurtis

Hey is you mom doing okay?

          I told him the news and he told me to come over sometime soon if I'd like to, I wasn't going to turn down the offer so I got into the car and headed home for a minute to notice some people on my lawn. "Hey who the hell are you" I yelled, the two guys stood in black work attire and slowly walked to me. "The rent of this house hasn't been paid for three months now and is being put into mortgage." I was beginning to get angry nothing had been working out the last few months because they haven't been getting paid ever since there job had been shut down. "And what gives you the right to just mosey on up here and sell it" they stayed quiet until the taller guy had spoke "Please let us in before this gets messy" I had no choice in the say for the main reason that I didn't want things to get any worse, I walked to the door as they walked in but it wasn't going to be to simple for them so I decided to trip the second guy as he walked in. I snickered a bit until they said it was worth about 250,000$, my parents had paid 650,000$ on the house it was 2 stories with a backyard built in pool. before I said anything they walked back out and into there car. I walked to the couch and began to yell, I heard some knocking and screamed "go screw yourself" a familiar voice had spoken "Oh well give me a minute just don't look" In a sarcastic voice, I walked to the door and opened it, Kurtis stood there making my belly turn. I apologized but he assured he was fine as he walked through the door laughing, 'He always seems like a care free person' I thought to myself as he walked into the living room. "I thought I was coming over to your house" I questioned him he replied with a hint of worry in his voice "Well I saw a car that I didn't recognize so I wanted to check and see if you were all right." I smiled as he sat on the couch, he had began to set up netflix and looked over to me. "What do you want to watch?" he asked, I walked over to the couch and sat down resting my legs onto the coffee table, "Apple seed if you wouldn't horribly mind" I said curling up into the ball from a cold breeze from the AC. He smiled and began to get comfortable.
