Isabella's POV
I woke up the next morning with a distant tugging in my chest. I couldn’t seem to understand why I couldn’t get Brad out of my mind. He outright told me that I was too easy and left and all I can think about is the way his lips felt against mine.
“You are truly pathetic Bell” I muttered to myself. Today was another day of high school. Fun right? I quickly took a shower and changed into dark skinny jeans, a black laced tank top and my favorite black hoodie. I slipped on a pair of black converse, together with my glasses and left my room. I made my way downstairs to get myself some breakfast and I left with little enthusiasm for school... Luckily I will be graduating in one month and I will be leaving this god forsaken place.
I had a lot of acceptance letters from all over the state but I decided that I’m not going to college: my parents were surprisingly okay with that decision. I will be moving to Athens to live with my aunt and uncle. They live in this huge castle, which has a beautiful view. My aunt and uncle were like second parents to me, there was never an occasion where I would not see them.
I parked my car in my usual spot and headed into the school building. I spotted Carly standing beside my locker; she was wearing a pair of black shorts, a blue tank top and her black leather jacket.
“Hey” I greeted
“Good morning sunshine” she reciprocated my greeting with more enthusiasm.
“You’re happy” I pointed out
“Thank you captain obvious” she said rolling her eyes.
“Does this have to do with a certain guy you met in the club?” I asked wriggling my eyebrows.
“Yes” she sighed “He asked me out on a date. Oh my god can you believe it. I’m telling you Bell he is the one”
“Well I’m happy for you” I pasted a smile on my face, but I’m pretty sure it looked more like a grimace. It’s not that I’m not happy for her, I am; Carly’s my sister and if she finally found ‘the guy’, I’m happy. But I can’t help but feel a little down, when will I find ‘the one’?
“Okay what’s wrong?” Carly asked. Damn the best friend senses
“Nothing” I sighed
“Yeah right” she exclaimed “I know you Bell, it’s not nothing”
“Really Carly it’s nothing just let it go”
“Is it about that guy you slept with?”
Damn you! “No” I mumbled
“It is. Bell it’s just a one night stand, you need to get over it”
“I know, but that’s not the problem”
“Then what is?” she pressed
“Yesterday after I left the diner, I went home. ‘He’ came by and when I questioned him about this on my neck” I said pointing the supposedly love bite “He kissed me”
“What happened?” Carly asked
“I slept with him again” I whispered but Carly heard me. No matter how softly I speak, she always hear me, I swear this girl has some supersonic hearing.
“YOU WHAT?” she shouted, causing everyone in the hall to turn and look at us.
“Carly be quiet, you’re causing a scene” I hissed
“How could you sleep with him again?”
“I just couldn’t help it, the moment his lips touched the love bite all my senses flew out the door”
“Did he bite you again?” she asked curiosity burning behind her words.
“Nope” I answered, although I wouldn’t mind, the feeling of his teeth sinking into my neck, it was sensational.
“Thank god” Carly muttered, she spoke really softly but I still managed to hear her.
“Why are you so relieved?” I asked
“You heard that?” she asked, I simply nodded. “So are you and mystery guy a couple now?” she asked
“Well this is where things get a little complicated” I said “He said that his heart belongs to someone else, and what happened between us was a big fat mistake”
“Awww honey I’m sorry. He just wasn’t the one”
“That’s what they all say” I mumbled “I just can’t wait for this stupid love bite to disappear” I grumbled
“It isn’t going anywhere” Carly muttered below her breath.
“Why not?” I asked
“You heard that too?”
“Was I not supposed to?”
“No you weren’t”
“Carly what do you know about this?” I asked “You’re hiding something”
“I can’t tell you”
“We’re best friends Carly, how can you not tell me?” I questioned
“There are some things even best friends can’t tell”
“We’re keeping secrets now?” I asked
“This is the one secret I’m not allowed to tell”
“But it has to do with me now”
“What are you talking about?” she asked feigning innocence, but I saw right through that.
“I saw the way you guys reacted to the love bite yesterday, this isn’t some minor deal”
“Just, let it go Bell; it has nothing to do with you”
“Fine” I said walking away.
It was now lunch time and I sat at my usual spot in the cafeteria, away from everyone. I’m not a loner or anything I just like to keep to myself.
“Hey” Carly greeted me, taking the seat opposite me.
“Hey”
“Tammy and I are going to the mall after school, want to join us?” Tammy is Nathan's girlfriend
“What about Nate?” I asked
“Oh he left for a trip with Brad” she said
“Business?” I asked nonchalantly
“Nope, more like an arranged marriage for Brad” she said. Here comes the pain in my chest again.
“Marriage?” I choked out
“Yup. His parents are really sensitive when it comes to their son”
“Oh” the rest of the lunch hour was spent on mindless chatter about graduation and Carly’s date.
“We better head to class” I suggested.
“Yeah don’t want to be late”
Suddenly my heart began to pound in my chest at a fast rhythm. I felt as if the walls were closing in all around me, I felt constricted. My breathing became labored, as I fought to gather oxygen in my lungs. I faintly heard Carly calling my name in the background, but none of that mattered because I finally surrendered to the pain, collapsing into the peaceful darkness.

Not my best chapter, but it's a filler. Those of you who read this story, stick with it, because it's gonna get more interested as it goes along....
