The Arrangement

1-Let's Talk

"Hey Tyler? Can we talk for a minute?" Tyler heard Jenna call to him from the door of their bedroom, distracting him from his current task of packing for the upcoming tour. Tyler's band, which consisted of him and his best friend Josh, was leaving in the morning to start their tour of the United States.

"Of course; what's up?"

Jenna took his hand and led him to the living room so they could both sit. Josh was sitting in an armchair in the corner, startling his bandmate who quickly got over his shock and smiled. They greeted each other before Tyler and Jenna took their seats on the sofa.

"What are you doing here, man? I thought we were meeting up tomorrow..." Tyler trailed off, hoping to get an explanation. He could never get tired of that man's face, but they usually stuck to a schedule. Jenna took the opening as a way to start her proposal.

"Tyler, you know I love you. And you know I would do anything for you. But, I also know that life sometimes gets in the way, so here's the thing. Josh and I have been talking, and I've been telling him how busy I'm going to be for most of your upcoming tour. And we both came to an agreement that we think could help with certain needs you may have when I'm not there."

The room was silent for a few minutes. Tyler was racking his brain for what she might possibly be talking about while Jenna and Josh were taking turns looking at each other and looking at Tyler. 

"Your romantic and sexual needs, Tyler. We're talking about your romantic and sexual needs. Jenna and I have come to an agreement about how to make sure you're not doing it with random fans while we're on the road." Both men look at Jenna, Tyler in confusion and Josh with intent on gaining permission to finish the proposal. After a nod of her head, Josh continues, "I think you are attractive. And after that one game of truth or dare a couple months back, I know you think I'm attractive too. And Jenna agrees that if she hadn't come along, we may have one day gotten together and become married. So, she came up with the idea of, when she's not there to take care of you, I will be. We're best friends, and that will be what we tell everyone. Only the people actually touring with us will need to know about the arrangement, and that will only so they aren't surprised should they see something." Josh paused for a second to regain his breath, then continued before Tyler could ask any questions. 

"I know you wish Jenna could be there with you everyday of the tour, but she does have her own busy life. And it wouldn't just be for sex. It would be for when you wake up from nightmares and need to cuddle, or if you want to have a fancy dinner, I could be your date so you still get the experience. We could even facetime Jenna if she's free so you can spend some time with her. I'm not going to replace her completely. I'll just be doing her job for a few months until you guys can be together again."

Tyler had spent the time Josh was talking scooting closer to Jenna, eventually letting their thighs touch as he took her hand. "You're really okay with this? It doesn't...weird you out?"

Jenna chuckled, "Honey, I'm the one that came up with it. If I really was weirded out, I would have left it as a crazy idea and never mentioned it to Josh. I just think this is something to keep you relaxed on tour while I can't be there to take care of you."

"I think it would be kinda neat. I mean, I get to be with both of my best friends, in a way. And Josh, are you sure you're okay with this? I can get really annoying and clingy sometimes." Josh waved a hand to Tyler's statement.

"I've put up with you this long; it'll be no different. I'll just be able to do something about it if I don't like it, if you know what I mean."

"Really, Josh? Sex jokes? You haven't even done the guy yet." Jenna sighed before getting up and grabbing a notepad and a pen. "How about we write up what's allowed and comfortable for both of you?"
