Part 13 of Travlyn

Garroth's Pov

I'm not generally violent, it's just when I am mad. Today, seeing Travis with Katelyn is making me infuriated. How could they?! Lie in front of my face, secretly be a thing together. I didn't even know! Who does that to his own best friend?! Well you know what, if I don't have my way, I won't let Travis have his way.

I started punching Travis violently. I guess Katelyn got mad because she started punching me too. Heh, I knew it. They are together. Katelyn yelled, "What are you doing to Travis?!" I could tell she was angrier than she was before, she started huffing her way to Travis.

"Travis, are you ok?" Asked Katelyn. Travis answers consciously, "Does it look like I am? Geez."
"Sorry." Said Katelyn apologetically.

I told myself Katelyn doesn't deserve Travis at all. She deserves me more than him.

This is crazy, how can my own best friend or should I say brother, turn on me? That's right, Travis Valcrum is my brother. My adopted brother.

Travis and I decided to keep our family secret a secret. Of course we should never tell anyone personal secrets but this one was different. No one knew what happened to them. After the incident it will forever be a promise to keep it a secret.

My parents adopted him and ever since then, they act as if I'm the one who's adopted.

I couldn't handle in the pain any more, so I just shouted to Travis and Katelyn, "You have always had your way ever since you were adopted! I feel like I'm the one who's adopted in my own family. Now Travis, you just come waltzing in between Katelyn and I's relationship."

"Wait, adopted? Family? What has this got to do with the subject? It's completely off topic!" Asked Katelyn quizzically.

"So you haven't even told her?" I questioned Travis so aggressively.

Travis answers "Of course not! That was our family secret after they died!"

"That's the past! Now's the present" I told him angrily.

Third Person's Pov

"What?! You mean Travis was adopted and....." Katelyn paused for a moment thinking about what to say next without offending either Travis or Garroth. "YOUR FAMILY DIED?!" Katelyn finished what she was about to say.

It's true. Their family died. It was hard for them to accept and understand the fact that their parents died but that's the way life works. You can't change it, even though you dread for it to be the way you want it to happen.

But if your life was the way you have always wanted it to be, what's your life worth living for? It's too easy. You live your life with ease when challenges make it even better. You may not think of it being better now, but you will sooner or later.

Garroth just loved his life. He lives together with his best friends, he is Katelyn's friend who is bound to be his girlfriend.

But Garroth's glory just had to end because of Travis.

Travis, on the other hand, hated his life. It wasn't special, it wasn't precious and it was DEFINITELY not worth living for. Who knew happiness could turn in to so much hatred, doubt and pain?

It definitely did hurt to be Travis. If you saw him without a shirt, you could see all of his scars, bruises and his cuts.

"Yes, our family died, now don't tell anyone!" Exclaimed Travis.

"I won't tell anyone." Stated Katelyn.

"But what do you mean our relationship? There is nothing going on between Travis and I and neither with you, Garroth. This has all been a misunderstanding." Said Katelyn.

"You mean there isn't?" Asked Garroth.

"Nope. Not at all." Replied Katelyn so bluntly, it almost sounded rude.

Travis says, "Why would you think there's something going on between us? She's just helping me with.........

Uhhhhhhh, problems."

Garroth asks Travis, "What kind of problems?"

"Personal problems, Garroth. Now if you excuse Travis and I, we have something important to fix." Katelyn intentionally interrupted Travis' and Garroth's conversation because she could tell Travis was eneasy discussing about his suicidal attempt.

They left Garroth all alone by himself still astounded from what happened to him. Garroth couldn't believe it.

Nothing was going on with Travis and Katelyn.

So then why did Garroth still feel jealous? Anger was fuming inside his head but he controlled his angriness.

What was Travis' real problem?

Why couldn't Travis tell his own adopted brother? The one he could always trust?

Did Travis still feel that way about Garroth?

Or did he change?

What was Katelyn doing to make Travis stop attempting suicide?

Travis was walking with Katelyn all the way to his house. Garroth didn't live with him though. Travis lived with Dante and Garroth lived with Laurence.
