Hi! I'm Ali and I really hope you enjoy this story!!!

~Thalia's POV~
Standing there with a paper with my name on it was some guy who looked super bored and was on his phone. He's actually really cute, I must say, with his dark brown hair styled in that I-just-woke-up kind of way and his shirt was a 3/4 sleeved shirt, but the sleeves were rolled up, showing off his very toned arms. I sigh and roll my suitcase over to him while my duffle bag was sitting on top of it and my backpack slung on my shoulder.
"Hi, I'm Thalia," I state to him.
He looks up and blinks then puts his phone away. His eyes are a captivating blue with a hint of green. Reminds me of the ocean.. "Here, I'll take that," he says, taking my suitcase and duffle. "Follow me. I'm Ace," he says, then turns to leave the airport. His voice is a bit husky and deep, but still smooth.
"Nice to meet you," I say softly.
I follow him out to the parking lot and he stops at a silver 2016 BMW i8 and opens the passenger door and pushes the seat forward before putting my suitcase and duffle in the back seat. He takes my back pack and sets it back there as well then pushes the seat back and steps away. "For you."
"Um, thanks," I say, then get in.
As soon as I sit and am clear of the door, Ace shuts my door and goes around to the drivers side and hops in. The seats are nice black leather and very comfortable.
"Nice car," I say shyly. "357 hp, right?"
He looks over at me surprised. "Uh, yeah." He starts the car and backs out of his spot. "Didn't peg you for a car type of girl," he chuckles.
"I grew up around cars, so I know my share," I shrug then look out the window.
"That's cool," he says as he turns on to a freeway it looks like and heads northwest. "Do you have any questions to ask about living here? I know California is a lot different than New York."
"Uh, not really. I've been here before, like, a long time ago, so I know a bit. Thanks though."
"Well, if you do have any questions, just let me know. My mom is really excited to see you, by the way."
"Yeah, I haven't seen Kylie since I was ten. I'm pretty excited, too." I look over as I say that and see he has a ghost of a smile on his lips.
He seems like a nice guy and he's very kind so far, but him being as cute as he is, I bet there's something wrong with him.
"So, uh," he starts. "What's it like in New York?"
I shrug. "Loud. Busy. Stuffy," I list off absentmindedly.
He nods. "Sounds about right," he chuckles.
I nod and look again out my window and watch the scenery.
"I know it's not really any of my business, but I was wondering why you're coming all the way over here when you're from New York. Like, did something happen?" He asks, taking an exit.
"Oh, um..." I say hesitantly.
"You don't have to answer, I'm just really curious," he says quickly.
"It's personal, sorry," I say quietly.
"I understand, don't be sorry about it," he smiles at me quickly before looking back at the road and taking a turn.
I yawn slightly and rest my chin on my hand with my elbow on the door.
"We'll be at the house in about 10 more minutes, so when we get there, you can go take a nap or something. You're probably jet lagged, huh?"
