Crunch

Kaitlin had been walking for hours and hours. She was getting tired. She wanted to stop and go home but she also wanted to see what lied deep within the forest, what creatures were hiding in the trees. Kaitlin stopped and and sat down next to an old oak tree. She sat next to the tree for a few minutes, then pulled her sandwiches out of her backpack and started to eat them. Once she had finished eating her sandwiches she stood up and started to walk on again. Another hour went by of Kaitlin just walking. She was thinking of pulling her phone out of her bag and calling her mum but a feeling inside her told her not to. Then Kaitlin stopped suddenly. She could hear something. It sounded like a person.
"Mum said not to talk to strangers Kaitlin" she said to herself worriedly.
*crunch*
"It's nothing stop making yourself scared!" She said to herself again, slightly angry this time. She continued to walk on. She tiptoed quietly just incase there actually was someone in the woods. Kaitlin looked behind her quickly, she could hear a crunching sound. It was like someone was walking on leaves, which is perfectly normal if there are leaves on the ground but in this case there were no leaves in sight...
