Here is a poem I once read that I like:
You are the bird whom all girls flock,
They perch like birds upon
the hope
you will look
their way.
Will you give them a crumb,
a smile, a glance,
If they wear the right dress,
Will you ask them to dance?
Sitting and preening, ignoring the sky.
Why do girls forget they can fly?
Here is another poem I once read that I like:
The way the winds blow,
Volcanic ash is never blown in this direction.
The air is clean and delicious here.
Living here should do wonders for even frail and sickly people.
Not much to write today, I just thought I'd share those two poems with you.
Today was a day to just remember what happened on September 11, 2001. I was only four years old but I remember it well because my daycare provider had it on the TV. What a great daycare provider...NOT. Anyway, this diary entry is in honor of those who died on September 11, 2001.
