Black Onyx (A Steven Universe Fanfic)

Chapter 1

When I woke, the warps of Homeworld were busy, as usual, since us gems don't need sleep, we do get tired, however, and trust me, after 56 shatterings in a row, you get tired of using the same strategy. So when I got out of bed, I polished my gem to get ready for the days to come.
My name is Black Onyx, and probably the only Onyx on Homeworld. My gem is located on my left wrist so I have full access to it from my right hand. My weapons are a mechanical crossbow with dark fire arrows, and two crystalline daggers. I serve as an assassin for the Diamond Authority and I do well at it.
I look in the mirror at my appearance, and see a black cloak over my dark-grey figure with black eyes and my midnight gem. I smile and think to myself, "Maybe I'll finally be able to shatter higher level gems who plot against the Diamonds." I frown as I get the thought out of my head. "No. They say I can't until I do a full recon of the area where the gem hand ship crashed on Earth." I walk out and head straight to the Diamond Court. I'm stopped and asked by a Citrine, "What business do you have here and under who's authority?" "My business and under my authority." I speak harshly. "Well, you can't pass unless you have a meeting scheduled with one of the Diamonds." I summon one of my daggers and hold it up to her gem. "Is this enough of a schedule?" She audibly gulps and says, stammering, "Y-you're B-black Onyx?" I smile as I clearly have shown who I am.
She lets me pass and I put my dagger away, walking up to the Diamonds. I kneel as Blue Diamond spoke, "Onyx, will you please stop intimidating the Citrines we place out there?" "I'm sorry, my Diamond, I needed to show her who I am." She sighed, "Fine, but I grant you full access around here so you don't have to keep doing it." I nod. "What?!" Yellow Diamond clearly showing the displeasure in her voice. "You can't give full access to someone like him!" "And why not?" Blue Diamond responds calmly. "He is just an abnormal gem who was lucky enough to exist!" White Diamond spoke this time, "Well, this abnormal gem has never failed any missions we've assigned him!" Yellow Diamond was clearly not happy with this. "It's settled then," says Blue Diamond, "Onyx, you have proven yourself worthy time and time again. So it is only fair we grant you full access to all facilities, except our private quarters. So stop threatening our Citrines." She says with a small chuckle. I smile, "Good", I think to myself. "Any new targets?" I ask. "Well, we have a small rebel group on Earth that we need you to take care of. I believe they call themselves the Crystal Gems." I nod. As I got up, White Diamond spoke, "Will you please come meet me personally Onyx?" I follow her and we get to a private part of the Court. "Yes, my Diamond?" She looked at me with sadness in her eyes. "Please don't harm the Pearl or Rose Quartz there. Just tell them this..."
