Mr. CEO gets what he wants

Chapter 3

Trinity POV

Storming towards my new office, I slam the door shut behind me, breath in and out harshly.

I can't believe he's engaged.

I slept with an engaged, taken, beautifully disgusting man.

I try to calm myself down and sit down on the desk chair.

The fact that I did something so foolish send my mind into a frenzy.

I understand that whatever had occurred was not my fault, because I was oblivious of the situation.

Yet still, the feeling of revulsion keeps consuming me.

That asshole had the decency of treating me like I was a piece of dirt at the bottom of his shoe. I'm so tempted to get up and give him what he deserves, but I knew if I did show him a piece of my mind, this job would be out of my grasp in just a snap.

So I suck it in and finish up the shit he had given me to do.

An hour later I am at the end of the given task.

Quickly I stand up, leave the room, and walk towards Nathans office.

Knocking the door twice, I hear him say a come in and I open the door, fast walking towards the door and place the papers on his desk.

"I'll be taking off, anything else sir?"

Calling him sir made me want to gag. That word was ruined for me, ever since I read books that used that word very inappropriately.

"No that will suffice, thank you."

Without replying, I turn on my heel and make my way towards the door. As I'm about to exit, Nathan calls on my name.

"Look, I didn't mean to go off on you like that before, its just you made me so angry and I didn't realize that I had said those words until you left. I do regret them and I apologize."

"I don't need your apology, I just need you to understand that getting angry doesn't mean you need to piss others off. Because at the end of the day the whole reason you acted the way you did was that you realized your mistakes. So spare the heart to heart talk."

With that, I leave his office.

I walk back to my office, pack up my things and get into the elevator.

As the doors are about to close, a hand cats it off reopening the elevators doors. As the doors are fully I come face to face with Avan.

"Trinity? What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same question."

He steps inside and the door closes up once again but this time without interruption.

"I work here."

I raise my eyebrows in surprise. "Since when? "

"A few months." He shrugs.

"And you haven't mentioned it once."

"Wasn't really a big deal..What about you?"

"I-I just started today. Nathans new PA. Didn't really go well, but whatever."

He chuckles, shaking his head. "Only you."

As he says that we reach the desired level and step out together. I turn to him.

"So I guess I'll see you tomorrow?"

He nods, "I guess."

I turn around and begin walking the way towards my apartment, not even a second as I begin my trip, Avan calls out my name.

"Hey...I know this is going to sound odd, but my mom has been asking about you lately, she misses having you around. So, she's making a get-together tonight, with the whole family and I'm sure she'd love it if you tagged along. So..umm..would your mind?"

I smile at his nervous state. I used to have a huge crush on him when we were in high school together and a smile like that would erupt butterflies in my stomach.

But once we agreed to be friends with benefits, everything changed. I just didn't feel a connection and I think he didn't feel it either, so we decided to strictly be friends and if we wanted some fun we'd go to one another.

I nod at his question and make my way towards him.

"Sure! I don't mind."

He smiles back, letting out a sigh of relieve.

"Great. Let's get going then."

With that, we make our way towards his car and drive towards his moms' house.

What a day.
