-REWRITTEN-
Trinity POV
"Trinity, please tell me this is a prank."
"I'm afraid not."
She stays silent, which worries me. What if she doesn't want to be friends with me anymore? The baby will be a disturbance to her so I understand.
"I wish I was there with you, but my ass of a boss is not letting me leave. Just hold on, okay? Go back to the apartment and don't move till I'm there, alright?"
"You still want to be my friend?" I ask in shock.
"What kind of question is that? Just because your going to be having a kid in 9 months doesn't mean I think of you any less. Your still my best friend and plus we need some action in our apartment, I'm starting to get bored with only having you as my roommate."
A laugh breaks past my lips, she never fails to make me feel better.
"I love you, Tina."
"I love you more, I really have got to go through, the boss is giving me a stink eye. See you at home."
"Bye." I sigh out having a feeling she didn't hear me at all.
I turn off my phone and take a breathe in.
Moping around isn't going to change anything, at the end of the day there's still is a baby inside me and I need to be strong for it.
I get up from the floor, toss all the tests in the trash and kept one only. The one I was going to show Nathan tomorrow.
I am scared of his reaction but I can't keep this from him, he needs to know that he's going to be a father whether he likes it or not.
Dialing his office I get an immediate response from the receptionist, "Sparks Company, how may I assist you?"
"Hey Kim, it's Trinity. Is it possible if you redirected me to Nathans office?"
"Hey, Trinity! Sure I'll redirect you right now. Lucky for you, he just finished up the meeting."
"Cool, thanks."
A few moments later I am met with Nathans smooth voice.
"Hey, baby."
"Hey, sorry to call at work," I say trying to avoid my nerves sounding too obvious over the phone.
"Don't apologize, I always have time for you. What's up?"
"Tina called a few minutes ago and asked me to come home asap, said she needed to talk to me." The lie coming out of my mouth smoothly.
"Is everything okay with her?"
"Yeah, everything is alright. Just girl things. I might even stay over tonight. Thought I'd tell you before I leave."
"Trinity you don't have to call and tell me where your going, your not in a prison. You could've just shot me a text." His voice sounding very playful.
"Well, now I know for next time. Anyways, I've got to run, ill call you before bed."
"Sure thing, ill be waiting."
Then the line is dead.
I hop into the shower to relieve my self from the stress I caused myself only minutes ago. The warm water rushes down my body like silk, soothing my aching muscles.
Once I'm finished, I dry off and changed into a pair of sweats and a singlet, the weather is starting to warm up here in New York, but at the same time, the chilly breeze seeps through every now and then.
