Frisk, accompanied by Eevee, Ralts, and Larvesta, waited what seemed to be half an hour before they started to think that Toriel wasn't coming back. They put all three of their Pokemon in their respective Poke Balls, then decided to continue through the RUINS until they find Toriel. Yeah, she might be mad they left, but Frisk started to feel lonely and was starting to get scared. They decided to continue through the mysterious temple.
Upon entering the next room, Frisk was encountered by a strange frog, though it was white all over and surprised and angry at Frisk. They didn't know how, considering that the thing spoke in ribbits, but they understood every word it said. "Hello, I'm FROGGIT. You don't look like a monster, so you must be a human. I will defeat you and your Pokemon and then monsters will be free! Prepare for battle!" The Froggit somehow held a single Poke Ball, revealing a small, blue frog that Frisk never saw before. Frisk decided to use the PokeGear to call Toriel, but then they noticed something on the device. An option called "PokeDex". Weird. Frisk decided to try it. He opened the application and it instructed them to point the device at a Pokemon. Frisk pointed it at the blue frog and it actually read it and started to explain it. "Croagunk...Poison and Fighting type."
"HEY! WHAT'S THE HOLD UP?!" Froggit yelled. Frisk realized that they needed to send out a Pokemon. Should I battle him or call Toriel?! Frisk thought. It seemed like not a good time to call, so Frisk sent out a Poke Ball randomly and Larvesta appeared. "Finally! Let's fight!"
Frisk saw Larvesta's moveset through DETERMINATION (again, they don't know how, they just do it) Ember, String Shot, and Leech Life. Which one to use though? Frisk thought. They decided, and the battle engaged. "Larvesta, use Ember!" Larvesta spat out a small flame from its mouth, which hit Croagunk and left him with a BURN, whatever that meant. Froggit seemed to be surprised and frustrated at this. "SERIOUSLY?! ONE HIT AND IT BURNS! COME ON!" Froggit then continued the battle. "Croagunk, Mud-Slap!" Croagunk gathered mud from the ground and threw it at Larvesta, blinding it. "Larvesta!" Frisk didn't know what to do. Larvesta was blinded, which means it couldn't attack, right? "Okay, human not gonna move, so...Croagunk, Poison Sting!" Croagunk spat out a small poison dart, but it somehow missed. By this time, Larvesta scraped out the mud from its eyes. "Alright Larvesta, use String Shot!" Frisk commanded. Larvesta began spewing out a small, weblike liquid around Croagunk, which looked like it was slowing him down. "Now, Ember!" Froggit looked on. "NOT THIS TIME. CROAGUNK, MUD-SLAP!" Croagunk struggled against the webs, which gave Larvesta an opportunity to fire. The attack shot, and Croagunk went down.
Frisk was glad they got another victory, but Froggit didn't look so good. Suddenly, a screen popped up with two options. One said Fight, the other Mercy. Froggit looked at Frisk with despair. "Okay, okay. I admit defeat. Please.....don't kill me." Frisk stared at him, then pressed the Mercy option. Froggit looked surprised. "Wait, what?" He looked at Frisk. "You didn't....kill me?" Froggit smiled, then thanked Frisk with an item. "Here, since you're such a nice guy, take these Potions! They'll help ya if you're Pokemon's HP is getting low in battle." Frisk gladly accepted the Potions, and then Froggit continued. "Yeah, around here, don't ever lose a battle. Because if you do, well, you may...die. So, just be careful. Think about what you're gonna do. Because down here..." Froggit stared at Frisk's eyes. "EVERY...MOVE...COUNTS." He then smiled again and hopped away, taking Croagunk with him.
Frisk continued throughout the RUINS, encountering more monsters, battling them, then sparing them. Along the way, they encountered some crazy puzzles, with talking boulders, pit traps, and even wild Pokemon, including a cute little dog the Pokedex called Lillipup. Frisk managed to catch it with Ralts, who surprisingly changed form or something, cause now the Pokedex called it Kirlia. Frisk consulted a monster called Whismur about it and he said that down here, Pokemon evolve if the bonds between their Trainers and them are strong enough to overcome some sort of challenge. Along the way, Frisk came across a ghost of some sorts, who Frisk talked with and befriended before he dissapeared. Napstablook. Used some weird Pokemon, though they were cute. Phantump and Zorua...
Frisk finally come across to a fork, with one area going to the left, and one going straight. Frisk decided to keep going straight, and encountered another Froggit, who they battled and won against. Frisk spared him like they always did, and continued onto a strange room, almost like a skyline viewing. They found on that ledge what looked to be a toy that somebody left behind. Strange though, cause the toy was shaped like a knife, and it seemed strong enough to cut someone. Frisk began to have weird flashbacks, but then was calmed down by Kirlia, who was right beside them. Frisk left the room, but picked up the knife, just so nobody came across it and decided to get any ideas.
Frisk went back to the fork, this time coming to the right, leading to a dead tree. However, a familiar voice was heard. "Geez, I didn't think that would take so long. I better call them. Oh, I hope their not dead and.....No, calm yourself Tori...They would've called if they were in trouble." Frisk could see her, coming up from the corner with her PokeGear on her ear. Frisk's PokeGear started to ring, which made Toriel turn towards the back of the tree and spot Frisk. She looked like she'd just seen a ghost, which made her put down her PokeGear. "My child..." She bent down. "Did you make it here on your own?" Frisk nodded, which then prompted Kirlia to smile too. "Oh! And it seems your Ralts evolved, too!" She looked at them, then stood up and gave them her hand. "Now, come on. I have a surprise for you." Frisk, reunited with Toriel, took her hand and together, they walked towards the curious house in the middle of the RUINS...
