_Chapter 4- The Seven Diamonds to Iris_
Waking up the next day, I looked at my clock. It was 8:03. I wasn't going to school anyway. So I stayed in my room cocooning myself with the bed sheets until I remembered that it was today that we were going to travel to Iris.
I stood up immediately, the sheets still around me causing me to plant my face on the floor.
Ouch.... That freaking hurt.
Just then I heard voices downstairs saying, "What was that?" I think it was Achilles.
"I think it's Autumn, I better check up on her." And that was how I ended up trying to untangle the bed sheets from me but all I managed to do was roll around the room looking like an idiot when Dan entered.
"This is not what it looks like." I mumbled from under the sheets. Did I mention I was covered fro head to toe?
I actually thought that Nate would be the one up here not one of these boys.
"You look like a rolling pin." I can't see but I was pretty sure Dan was having the time of his life right now.
"Gee thanks. I feel so unique." I deadpanned. "Now will you please be a gentleman and help me here?"
"Only if you say please."
"Like I'd do that." I said rolling my eyes.
"Guess you'll just have to stay there and wait for another person to help you. Cause everybody's going out."
"Going out to where?"
"Only if you say please." This guy is infuriating.
"Fine. Please. You happy now?"
"Yes, your highness." I felt a tug on the sheets, then I was rolling away to the other side of the room. "And we're already getting ready for Iris. Get ready and pack only the essentials."
"Fine." I said glaring at him. "Thank you for your wondrous help."
He grinned, "No problem, Ma'm." Saluting me on the way out.
So what exactly do I need to survive in Iris.
After a lot of contemplation, since nobody gave me an idea on what to bring, I packed a jug. Don't ask me why I keep jugs in my room. A bunch of food, I'm gonna grab later downstairs. And some clothes mainly only underwear, a t-shirt and jeans. I never felt that comfortable in shorts, but just in case brought a pair and some jeans, and a jacket ( you'll never know.) And lastly a first aid kit. Grabbing my phone and my iPod for later use, but I have a slight inkling that I wouldn't have as good as reception here than in Iris.
As I went downstairs, I took one last look at the room I've been living in for the past 17 years. It may not have been that special, but it was what I considered home for the past years.
Closing the door, I prayed that if I ever come back, I wish it to still be here. Unchanged.
Downstairs, I haded straight for the kitchen grabbing whatever food we had there that wouldn't be too space consuming nor too unhealthy. Though I was tempted to grab a bag of cheetos but that wouldn't help. Unless we encounter a cheeto loving dark witch on the way bribing her to let us go with the yummy junk food, I doubt that.
Looking for more food, I saw that there wasn't much. I'll just stop by the store later. As I was leaving the kitchen I saw a figure in the room watching TV.
Was that Spongbob Squarepants?
"Don , why are you watching that yellow sponge?"
He looked back at me surprised, "I didn't even hear you come here." He crinkled his eyebrows, then said as if it explained it all, "There wasn't anything interesting on here."
