7:10 AM | DAY 5

Rayn didn't show up.

Not even the next day, or after the one after that.

Lauren was in distress, the past few days have been the same routine. Wake up, hunt, clean, build, and then go back to sleep.

She hadn't even had the chance to hang out with Camila these past few days.

Normani and Lauren would sneak back to their old location to see if anything else had washed up on the shore.

The best thing they've found was a flare gun, that's all the progress they've done for the past few days.

Her leg was still injured but it didn't hurt as much, she walked more like a normal person.

"Check this out!" Normani called her over, she walked over to her, and examined the thing that was on her hand.

Lauren grinned, "Is that a coconut? Holy shit."

Normani nodded, "There's tons here. We should take some back; the girls are going to be happy."

She debated herself on taking it, Rayn had said that they were running out of food. "I not sure, Mani. This isn't ours, and what if they come for us for this."

Normani out her hand on her hip, "First of all this isn't theirs, and secondly we're starving."

"Fine. I just hope I don't regret this."

They walked back with at least five coconuts, one for each.

Ally almost crying tears of joy, "I was getting tired of eating fish. Thank god, my prayers have been answered."

She handed her a coconut, peering down at her baby bump. "Here Ally, take mine."

Ally shook her head, "I can't, Lauren. It's yours."

Normani cocked an eyebrow, "Ally, you need it for the baby."

"Take it, I'm not taking no for an answer." Lauren smiled as Ally took it from her hands.

Ally wrapped her arms around Lauren, giving her a tight squeeze.

"Give these to the others, will you?"

Normani passed her two, they felt heavy but she nodded. Dinah and Camila were laying in the shade, it did seem hotter today.

Lauren remembered having to wash her face many times to feel refreshed.

Dinah grinned, "Thanks Lauser, I let you two love birds have some alone time." She made kissing noises while leaving.

Camila shook her head in amusement, and helped Lauren sit down.

"Rayn hasn't talked to me since I last saw her. I'm getting worried, Camz." She mumbled under her breathe.

Camila rested her head on Lauren's shoulder, "Honestly Lauren, I think her help was a one time thing, she is a stranger and we shouldn't get too attached to her."

"I know, it's just I wanna help her, and she could help us. She knows this Island more than we do."

Lauren ran her fingertips through Camila's hair, enjoying the way Camila had relaxed under her touch.

Lauren wanted to tell Camila that she was willing to adopt Rayn, but her mind would scold her for it.

Maybe it was too early and they were moving too fast, or maybe Camila would laugh at her.

She decided to shift the conversation to another topic before her mind would start being blunt.

"Camila, what are we?" Lauren almost wanting to kick herself from how worried she sounded.
