"Zaira!" Greg called after me. I heard him running down the street as they came closer. I rolled my eyes when he caught up with me.

"Zaira, please it was a joke! I can get you a new coffee," he chuckled. "I'm just trying to have a little fun."

I turned to him angry. "Uncle Les, I need my coffee in the morning more than anything. It's not as affective if I need to get a second one or else in feeding the anger I have inside me now," I explained. I took another bite of my muffin, tearing some of the surrounding paper off of the side.

He looked back at Sherlock just walking our way. "I'm sorry, okay. I don't want you to have a hard time while your in London. I wanted at least your first week to be fun! You meeting Curly over there wasn't part of my plan."

"And what was your plan exactly?" I crossed my arms.

"For me to keep away from you until the week was over because of how incredibly gifted I am and we can all agree here that I am a bit intimidating when I begin to deduce someone," Sherlock joined in.

I turned to Greg

I turned to Greg. "Is he always like this?" I pointed my thumb in the direction of the man in the trench coat.

"Actually, yes. Pretty much 24/7, I'm afraid."

"And where would your department be if I wasn't like this 24/7?"

This conversation we were having was about to make me want to smite myself if I didn't get out of here. The two bickered about what would and wouldn't happen as I slowly made my way out of their little group. I could still hear their loud arguing when I turned a corner and disappeared.

Having a breather from all of that testosterone was a great relief. I decided to just go around London with my cream cheese muffin just for the fun of it. Might as well enjoy it before my first week here gets even more ruined, right?

(Lestrade's POV)
(p.s. Wasn't planning on this sort of thing, but how boring if you didn't look into his mind about this)

"Sherlock," I huffed. The man had been bragging about his abilities like the bloke he is and I was about done with it. "We just need to get her another coffee. This wasn't a joke to my niece and I feel really bad about it."

"Well, then you're buying because you drank the one that I bought for her," he commented. Sherlock turned and headed for SPEEDY'S with me trailing behind and paying for another coffee. The girl at the register asked what had happened and I told her that Zaira couldn't take a joke.

It was strange though. Zaira was always the one who could take a joke when others couldn't. When she was ten, she would watch old classic movies with me under blanket forts she used to make at her parent's. Sometimes I would say something others won't get and she would be the only one laughing. I still remember when we had Jurassic Park on the teley and I chased her around making dinosaur noises. Her squeals were the highlight of my day!
