Lisa had texted me 5 minutes ago that they were pulling in the house. All the guests had parked next door at the McAllan's. They didn't have many friends so they literally jumped at any opportunity to make friends. They had moved in 2 years ago from Australia, they weren't that bad actually. Just had terrible cooking skills. They burnt their stove 6 times at least.

As we heard Lisa's loud speaking which had meant that they were walking up to the door. We all got into our hiding positions and waited for all three of to enter.
Jacob walked in first then Lisa and Izzy. We all shouted

"Surprise!!" Well more like screamed. Giving Izzy and Lisa a bit of a fright. Then everyone started singing to Isabella.

" Happy birthday to you, happy birthday Izzy!" She was so excited. She could have exploded if it was possible.
After that Lisa lead all the the kids to the upstairs 'water park'. And the adults stayed down stairs and everyone enjoyed themselves. I took this as the opportunity to ask Colin if he'd told Lisa about Dante. I mean I had given him enough time.

"Hey Mike, can I just steel Colin for a while." He was talking with one of Jacobs friends dad, Mike.

" Yeah, sure... great party by the way."

" Yeah thanks..." Colin and I walked into the kitchen.

"So have you told her yet? "

"No, but only because he's not even here. So why spoil it for her. If he might not even pitch?"

"Colin no. Are you crazy you have to tell her... did you ever think that maybe Dante was lat-" I was cut off by someone walking in through the front door. DANTE.

" Hey, everyone... We are so sorry we're late we got lost a bit." He looked at me and smiled. Then he started walking towards us. Then for a moment in my head I asked myself why we even invited him to the party. Then I remembered why. When Litha came zooming by holding a box with a huge bow on it.

"Hii aunt Mandy I brought a gift Izzy..."  she scanned the room around her and noticing that izzy wasn't around or any kid,

"umm where are they? " she asked as she handed me the box and then I noticed she had another box this was smaller, much smaller and was wrapped in blue.

"Hello darling, oh thank you I think Izzy will love it... everyone is upstairs in the pool, so why don't you go get changed down the hall and I'll take you up when your done. Um Litha darling whose the blue box for? "

"It's for Jacob because it's also his birthday and he helped do all this for his sister..." she was blushing gosh, this cutie pie had no idea how messed up Jacob was. But it was so sweet of her. Because no one else had gotten him a present.

"Ahh thanks darling that's so thoughtful, I'm sure he'll love it. Now go on and change so I can take you up. Izzy has been dying with out her best friend. "

"Okay, " she replied as she hopped off. Great now back to the elephant in the room. Dante.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late again Litha did some last minute shopping and then we got lost making our way here..." he continued.  "... Mandy  you look amazing.  You can't even tell you've had two children, like if it weren't for this fool standing next to you I'd hit on you or something. "

"Still same old slick talking Dante. You don't look to bad yourself. " I commented as he pulled me in for a kiss on the cheek. I can't lie he was a good guy and we all kind of missed him but what he'd done just seemed so unforgettable and unlike him.

"Okay you can back off now Dante,  you realise I'm still married to this fool here..."

Dante and Colin pulled each other in for a bro hug.
"...How you been man?"asked Colin.

"...I've been fine I guess. You know I'm better than ever. You bro, how have you been?" He replied and he looked as if he had genuinely meant it.

"I'm okay," Colin said.

And when Colin said that all I thought of was is what I said;

"Okay, babe your more than okay.... Dante don't mind him, his just bitter because he feels guilty for not telling Lisa your back in town."
I said butting in their 'manly' catch up session.

"Lisa doesn't know I'm here!?"

"Yep Colin was too much of a baby coward to tell her. "

"You know what, where is she I'll tell her myself. I'm the one that caused this havoc anyways."

I understand that Dante was trying to be nice and all but he was not going to break the news to Lisa.

" It's okay Dante I'll tell her, "

" Okay I'm done! Pleeeeeeeeeeaaassaaase can we go to Izzy now!" Litha was by my side pleading with me.

"Okay Litha just hold on." I responded to her. Then looked back up to Dante then said:
" Dante it's nothing personal but I think best I tell her."

" Tell her what? " the voice wasn't male so wasn't coming from Colin or Dante, it was female and it wasn't definitely not my voice. But even from a mile away I knew her voice. It was Lisa. She stood behind Dante.

" Ow hey, Lisa didn't see you there..." Colin said immediately trying to some what lighten the mood.

" I know, either wise you would have stoped talking 5 minutes ago. " Lisa said, sounding very casual with this awkward 'circumstance' we were in.

Dante did a full 180 degree turn, so that he was know facing Lisa and had his back turned to me and Colin.

"Hey Lisa, I was really hoping we wouldn't see each other like this. But anyways... Surprise I'm back in town. " Dante sounded pretty nervous, which from what I recalled to the previous years Dante never got nervous or shy?.

" I know," responded Lisa, still In a causal way. "Are we still on for breakfast tomorrow?"asked Lisa. 
And obviously I thought the question was meant for me, but then we hadn't made any plans for tomorrow. Then I realised that it was meant for Dante because he responded in a sort of confused way.

"Umm...  
Oh yeah, yes we are totally still on for breakfast tomorrow."

Okay, great so the last time these two were in a room together you could swear that Lisa would slit his throat or something. She hates him now they have breakfast plans what the hell is going.

"Well then great, I'll be back guys. I'm gonna take Litha to the rest of the kids. Come on Litha I'll race you to the indoor pool. "
 
And just like that Lisa and Litha went off to the pool, then Dante moved on to say hi to the rest of the guests leaving me and Colin staring at each other dumbfounded by what just happened.
