JERON’S POV

Days have passed since we, the DLSU Green Archers, won the UAAP Season 76 Men’s Basketball Championship, since I was awarded as the finals MVP and since the last time I saw Jade.

She was not in the game, kasi may naka schedule na book singing. Pano ko nalaman? Twitter of course.

Right after the game and the awarding I tweeted that the team went to Henry Sy from MOA and asked everybody to come. The truth is I was hoping that she’ll see my tweet and go to Henry Sy right after her book signing, pero there were no signs of her.

After the game 3, my schedule and Ahia’s were pretty hectic; interviews here, guestings there, and a lot of things really. That’s why I can’t meet her at school, too.

Now I’m here at home with my family. We just had our dinner after our interview for a certain show and we’re just bonding with each other right now. I’m still reading Jade’s book, hindi ko pa rin tapos because of our practices before the game and then the interviews right after.

“Nanalo sila kasi hinigop ni Shoti ang swerte ng lucky shirt ko,” Ahia joked.

My Ahia has this shirt na palagi niyang sinusuot night before their game. He calls it his ‘lucky shirt’. When we bickered last time, days before the game 2, I tried to hmmm…steal or maybe get a hold of his shirt, baka sakaling pumunta ang swerte sa ‘kin.

“Weh, ambaho kaya ng shirt na yun. Well, inspired lang talaga ako kaya ganun. Good vibes even before the game,” I responded, not removing my attention from the book.

Pero with what happened before the game 3, after meeting Jade, I think hindi na yun dahil sa lucky shirt ni Ahia. Totoo naman eh. Whenever I think of her smile, pati ako napapangiti, infectious, eh? I got full marks on my report as well, because I was thinking of her that time, too.

“Inspired daw oh. May nililigawan ka noh?” Ahia accused.

“Totoo ba yan, Shoti?” Dad asked.

I blushed immediately. When they said na may nililigawan ako, the image of Jade’s face immediately flashed in my mind.
