"Are you okay? I am sorry. I wished I was there." –HSK
This was nice for Wendy to hear after what she had experienced tonight. She told the whole story to him and when she finished, it was already 3am.
"You should go to sleep now. See you tomorrow."
"Are we going to meet??"
"I'll be watching you."
"Seriously, who are you? Do we know each other?"
He was always at the right time to avoid her question and left her dumbfounded. Everything seemed fine at the moment but she didn't know how this person had stepped in her life already.
Next day morning
It was a rainy day that made her sleepier. She couldn't sleep well because she still could not believe what had happened last night. Even though she would like to stay on the bed all day, they were really busy during the comeback.
"Okay, girls. Please get ready! You are going to have your first fan sign event today!!" Manager cheered them up in the early morning. "Neh... Let me finish... my... breakfast first." Seulgi bear answered while having a large bite of bread in her mouth. Irene just finished her daily routine, ironed the clothes and woke maknae Yeri up. Joy was looking into the mirror and checked if she looked decent today. On the other hand, it was rare to see Wendy not being energetic as usual.
The fan sign event started. Wendy was sitting at the far right so that fans would not see her sleepy face but she tried to hide it with her charming smile. The event was running smoothly until she met someone.
"Annyeonghaseyo~" She greeted him first with her silvery voice. The man did not answer but hand the album to her. She couldn't see his face clearly because it was covered by the black mask and the cap. "What's your name?" She asked while lowering her head a bit to look at his eyes. "Just sign..." He spoke softly and tried to avoid eye contact. She suddenly had a thought that this man might be HSK-nim and excitement could be seen in her eyes. The question was about to come out from her mouth but she quickly remembered that she didn't know his real name. She then just signed and shook hands with the man.
She never had such an awkward atmosphere with her fan. That man was holding her hand really tight and did not let go of it which made her feel uneasy. "Please..." He did not listen but pulled his mask down a bit just enough to show her a creepy smile. The intention of that smile was not easy to understand but surely it would not be something good. Finally, one of the assistants realized her situation and pushed the man hard to leave. "Thank you... Sung Ho." She thanked him for saving her.
Lastly the fan sign event ended. Wendy was both physically and mentally tired. She could not accept all those unlucky things happened on her these days. "Sorry, may I go to the washroom first before leaving?" She asked the manager and he nodded.
"What on earth is happening to me? What have I done to deserve this?" Other than scared, she was really mad now. By the way, the washroom was quite far away. It took her few minutes to walk there. There was nobody and it was quiet, dim inside but she was too tired to care about the surroundings. She just wanted to finish everything quickly and return home.
When she finished and reached the doorknob, she found something weird. "Wa...Wait... It is locked!" She tried several times again but still could not open the door. She placed her ear near the door to hear if there was anyone to help. She could barely hear...some......footsteps. "Is someone following me?" She couldn't help but being sensitive again. There was nothing she could do but calling someone for help.
"Dialing..."
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! PLEASE DON'T!!"
Her body was shivering, hands were shaky, dropped her phone on the floor when she heard a man scream outside.
