For the rest of the day I pour myself into making the list for this random guy.

While sitting in French 2 Adele taps on my shoulder, "What are you doing?"

"This random guy asked me for dystopian book recommendations so I decided to help him out."

"Does he know that this list might be three or four pages long front and back?" I turn around putting my blue pen down.

"No he doesn't but I'm reigning myself in because I also have to give descriptions."

With that I turn back around and keep working. By the end of French I've finished my compact list.

List for Random Guy:

-Legend
-Prodigy
-Champion

I am Number Four By Pittacus Lore (Part of a series)
-I am Number Four
-Power of Six
-Rise of Nine

-Revenge of Seven
-Fate of Ten
-United as One

Red Queen By Victoria Aveyard (Part of a Series)
-Red Queen
-Glass Sword

Young Elites By Marie Lu (Part of a Series)
-Young Elites
-Rose Society

Hunger Games By Suzanne Collins (Part of a Series)
-Hunger Games
-Catching Fire

I had to add in THG series just to make a point that although the movies were okay the books were better.

When the final bell rings at 3:15 and I head to the buses. Yes I take the bus, I don't have a car. While pulling out of the school parking lot I catch a glimpse of Random Guy getting into his car, I roll my eyes and look down at my phone.

When I get home I walk in my house through the side door avoiding Thomas and his friends in the driveway. I get inside and I'm greeted by my dogs Jupiter and Petra. Jupiter is the spaztastic boxer that although he's 10 years old acts like a puppy. Then there is Petra, she's about 5 months old and is a blue doberman pinscher. She scares people easily but has the sweetest heart. I let them outside hoping that Thomas keeps the gate closed, I know they've been inside all day because Thomas "forgets" to let them out everyday even though I know he sees them.

I walk upstairs to my room and start my homework. I start with ELA which is just reading and answering questions. Next is French, all I have to do is translate a paragraph. After that I'm done and go back down stairs to grab food, cheddar jalapeño cheetos, my favorite. I go watch Thomas play basketball in the driveway with his friends while the girls sit to the side. I sit down on the steps in front of the side door with my bag of cheetos. When Thomas sees me come out he runs over and takes some of my food. "Thanks," he pants.

"You're taking me for granted!" I yell after him.

"Well since I'm taking you for granted will you get me some water."

"Sure, because I'm the best sister in the world."

"Yeah you are."

I take my phone out of my back pocket and turn on voice recorder, "You have to say that I am you can't just agree with me."

"Lendynn you're the best sister in the world." He says rolling his eyes in my direction.

"Thank you," I mockingly wipe my eyes getting rid of the nonexistent tears. "That was really heartfelt."

I turn walking inside putting up the cheetos, I grab two water bottles and fill them up. Before opening the side door I set the second water bottle on the ground. I open the first water bottle and walk outside into the October air. Thomas runs over for the bottle and I take a large gulp of water, then another knowing how much of a germaphobe he is. I look up into Thomas' green eyes as they fill with hurt, "What was that for?"

"The walk all the way out here was just so tiring." I fake pant. I open the door and grab the other water bottle. "Don't worry I just did that because I wanted to see your face when your, and I quote, 'best sister in the world' betrayed you." Then I can't hold it in I laugh at him.

"Thomas!" One of his friends yells, "Come on you're holding up the game!"

"Coming!" With that Thomas runs off.
