I woke up the next morning and walked into the bathroom, and my hair had doubled to size of my head. If it could speak I bet it would be gloating about how it conquered the human. After some struggle I got my hair into two french fishtails. Slipping on high waisted burgundy jeans and a cropped adidas hoodie. slinging my backpack over my shoulder I grab a package of poptarts that I can eat on the bus and scream bye to my parents.

I don't know what Random Guy's name actually is so hopefully Emma can figure it out during AP Human Geo since she's in the class with me. We walk into class with two or three minutes to spare so I dig through my bag to find the list. I look around the room trying to find the guy but he's no where in sight so I decide to go and sit in my spot and hope that he'll get here before class starts.

He was late to class, why was he late, I didn't ask. The weirdest part is that I never noticed he was in this class but he sits in the same row as me. I didn't pass them to him in fear of being caught, so I held tight and waited for the end of class.

I kept sneaking glances at him trying to figure out his name. Emma was sitting behind and tapped on my shoulder and passed me a small piece of paper. Opening it I read the note as fast as I could before tucking it under my desk.

Why do you keep looking at Mark Campbell?

That's how I know him, Mr. Popular. He plays for the basketball team one of our star players. I quickly write back to Emma.

Oh! That's how I know him! Tell you the story later.

Once the bell rings I rush out of the classroom and wait in the hallway for Mark, as he walks out with his friends he barely notices me. He jumps around laughing with his friends. I'm tempted to jump into the group and jump and laugh until he sees me but there was no reason for that because he casually walks over to me once his friends disburse.

"Do you have my list?" He asks.

"Yeah," I start digging through my backpack for my folder that holds my swirly handwriting. I find it quickly but its a little embarrassing especially when his girlfriend walks up and kisses him. I resist the fake hurl I always do when there a public displays of affection. I grab the folder and pull the sheets of notebook paper out of it.

"Hi I'm Tate!" Mark's girlfriend turns to me after hearing the the racket I'm making.

"Hi, " I mumble, I look up at her and give her a soft smile. She's beautiful, she's tall with perfect makeup, wavy hair, and nice clothes. Next to her I look homeless with worn (loved) clothes.

"And what is your name?"

"Lendynn."

"That is a beautiful name! What's this?" She reaches for my papers. Wow she's so friendly part of me wants to befriend her and the other wants to go hide under a rock.

Mark finally speaks, "Lendynn gave me some suggestions for the ELA book project."

"I've only heard of I am Number Four." Tate comments.

"I am Number Four was adapted into a movie that was surprisingly close to the books which is actually surprising." I explain.

"So you read a lot?"

"A little," way to be modest Lendi.

"We should talk about books sometime I read a bit too."

"Ok! Well I really need to get to class but I'll talk to you guys later." I quickly walk to my next class hoping I'm not late.
