"Sorry, I can't. Not today."
"What do you mean you can't?"
"Will, I can't. I have a lot going on right now, and I can't afford to be distracted. There's been rumors about a rival gang coming to attack. I need t-"
"Natalie, you said rumors."
"Yeah. Rumors. What about it?"
"That's all they are. You don't have any concrete information about it. For all you know, it could all be fake."
"Yeah, but what if it isn't? I can't afford my members getting hurt or killed. Please understand that I can't hang out with you today."
Even though I really want to.
"Fine. If we can't hang out then I'll help you."
"No that's ok Will."
"Nah. I have nothing else to do."
"Oh yeah? And why is that?", I ask.
"Well, I thought you would want to hang out, so I canceled my plans."
"You're such a dumbass."
"Well I don't have a dirty mouth. Unlike some people."
"Well fuck you too."
It was nice to have him around actually.
I thought that I wouldn't get anything done, but was proven wrong in the end.
Together we had finished all the work that I had put to the side, and never took the time to complete. We were done by 5:30.
"Thanks for helping me Will. I appreciate it."
"No problem."
I managed to sneak a small glance towards him only to see that he was looking at me with a look of admiration in his eyes.
Why does he always seem to be looking at me like that?
"Sooo, I heard about a high school party happening today, and now that we're done, do you wanna come with me? You know, to crash it?"
Well he had helped me with all my work, so why not?
"Sure. It's the least I could do. I'll just need to get ready."
"Ok. Take your time."
Heading to my room I take a quick shower, dry myself off, and walk over to my closet to pick an outfit.
I chose a black tank top that had lace at the top, ripped skinny jeans, and my leather jacket.
I pulled on some black combat boots and shoved my gun in the waistband of my jeans.
I added some mascara, a little red lipstick, and I was done.
I walk down the stairs to the front room of my house where I saw Will waiting for me.
"Wow...you look amazing."
"Thanks."
I made sure to tell Nate where I was going before both Will and I walked out the house to drive to this party he was talking about.
