Charlotte's POV-
At the end of my last class, I took my time walking to Ms. Millers art room for detention. I wanted to skip so fucking bad, but I can't afford having Mrs. Richards report anything to my mom. We're not on good terms right now and hearing anything from my school would piss her off more than I ever xould in one day. I reached the art room with a few minutes to spare, looking into the window of the door, I saw Henry was already seated at a desk inside.
"Charlotte, you can go ahead and take a set next to Henry. I'll be back in an hour to check on you, no talking, no texting, and if you get out of your seat that's 30 more minutes."
As soon as I sat down, Henry reached over and pushed me out of the chair.
"She's out of her seat."
He reported. Mrs Richards stopped at the door and sighed.
"Henry, keep your hands to yourself, Charlotte you'd be a fool to retaliate."
She said to me as I stood up, dusting the back of my shorts off. I looked up at her and forced a sugary sweet smile.
"Of course."
Mrs. Richards then left the room and I waited a few minutes before turning to Henry and slapping him in the back of the neck.
"Touch me again and it'll be the last time you ever touch anything."
"Shit, it was just a fucking joke."
Henry muttered, winching as she rubbed the back of his neck where his skin was turning red.
"You see me laughing?"
"Maybe you should get that rhinestone stick out of your ass and you might."
He said. I rolled my eyes, kicking my feet up on the desk. I reached into my backpack and pulled my phone out, Destiny and Desiree said they'd wait until I got out of detention to give me a ride home. I can't wait to get out of here. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Henry stand up and walk to the door.
"Damn it."
He banged on the door after the knob wouldn't turn.
"Didn't you make the great assumption that she would lock the door, dumb ass?"
I pulled my feet down and crossed my legs, smiling at his defeat. Henry leaned against the door frame, crossing his arms over his chest as he regarded me.
"You've been here enough times to know that obviously."
"Was that supposed to be an insult? Because I really don't give a fuck."
I replied, glancing down at my phone.
"Was that supposed to be an attempt at a bad-ass girl attitude, you pretend to do that a lot I'm noticing."
I looked up at him, he raised his eyebrows at me.
"I don't pretend to do anything."
"Said every tough girl ever."
He smirked. I stood up and walked over to the door to stand in front of him, the last time we were this close it didn't end well but I could feel something else happening here.
"You think you're so fucking smart, you're not shit."
I said to him, getting closer. Henry's dark brown eyes studied my face, stopping at my lips.
"You're right... I'm the shit. Thanks for the compliment."
He winked at me. I chuckled a little bit and smoothed my hands up his shirt, slowly.
"You know what, you're kinda cute in a self centered asshole kind of way."
Henry grabbed my hands and pushed them down.
"What are you doing?"
"What do you mean?"
I tilted my head, biting my lower lip and pushing the softest smile I could onto my lips. Henry stared at me as if I had just grown three new heads.
"What are you doing?"
Henry repeated himself, but this time he sounded uncertain. I grabbed his arm and pulled him away from the door where nobody could see us.
Thanks for reading!

s
I'm not a fool.
I know that if I skip detention Ms. Richards will really send a note home to my mom, and I can't have that.
So dragging my feet and ordering for some skinny pot marked nerd to carry my books for me, I trudged to detention where Henry was already slumped in a seat.
I avoid eye contact with him, and plop down at a desk three rows away from him.
"Thanks um..."
I try to remember the nerd's name.
"Arnold."
His hands were shaking as he set my bookbag down next to me.
"Right, thanks."
I turn my attention to my fingernails, and ignore everything else.
Boredom ville, here I am.
"Well, glad you showed up. You'll be here for 1 hour, no more, no less. No talking, no fighting, and if you move from those seats, you're dead."
Ms. Richards gives us a stern look before leaving and closing the door behind her.
Go to hell, I say to her in my head.
"I just love people like her."
I squeal in a really high voice. It's quiet for a minute, until Henry hops up and makes a bee line for the door.
"I'm out!"
He turns the knob, but it doesn't open. Henry yanks and pulls and then finally gives up.
"Damn it!"
He banged his fist against the wall making me jump.
"Pipe the hell down, didn't you make the great assumption that she would lock the door Einstein!"
Henry turns to glare at me.
"Looks like you've been here enough times to know that."
He scoffed. I stood up and walked over to Henry, burning with something more than rage.
"What? Are you gonna hit me bad girl? I'd like to see you try!"
He chided. I didn't hit him, what I did next surprised both me and Henry.
