Wrong...

I looked in my mirror, eyes wide and pupils dialated. I couldn't stop shaking as I thought over what just happened. Nothing went according to plan. Nothing went right. I... I don't know what happened. One second, I was talking casually with a man who wanted me dead, the next, I was running down my street, fear pulsing through me like adrenaline. I looked down at my hands, and, for a second, I thought I saw them with claws, covered in blood. I chuckled half heartedly, used to the familiar sight of blood, but I still felt odd... It felt... wrong. I hesitantly backed away from the mirror, an uneasy grin on my face. I stumbled as I left the restroom, going to my bed room. I picked up my phone as I laid down on the bed, clutching it tightly. I felt like calling someone, anyone, but I knew I couldn't. Only people in my contacts were Mikado, Kida, Shizuo, and... Izaya... I growled, thinking of the informant just infuriated me. I may not know what had happened in that alley, but I sure as hell know it's his fault.

Izaya's P.o.V
I looked at myself in my mirror and grinned as I held a wash cloth on my shoulder. I removed the wet cloth and chuckled, staring at the wound. It was't too deep, but I did need stitches. I briefly wondered if I should go see Shinra, before returning my thoughts back to my current thoughts. (Y/N) was brilliant! I already knew she was something different, but now I really know what she is! I put the wash cloth back on my arm, covering the four gashes on my arm, before calling Shinra. After it was confirmed that he'd be over, I hung up and left the rest room, deciding to sit in the living room instead. I looked up at the cieling, recalling just what had happened in that ally.

Flashback!
I watched silently as (Y/N) walked calmly down the ally. She almost passed me, then she stopped.
"Hello, Izaya! I wish I could say it's nice to see you, but I'd be lying!" She said happily, looking at me in my hiding place. I walked out and grinned.
"Likewise. How is it that you were able to see me? I hid quite well," I asked, making my way towards her. She stood her ground.
"Oh, that's simple. You reek of malice and pride. It suits you well," She chuckled. I noticed she held her school bag behind her.
"Oh? And you can smell these? I wonder, what do emotions smell like? Better yet, how do they taste?" I mused.
"I can only smell emotions, silly!~ I can't taste them! Although, I once read somewhere that there's a creature that feeds on love..." She trailed off, thinking to herself.
"That sounds interesting. So, how do you do it? Smell emotions, I mean. What are you?" I asked. She seemed confused.
"Human, of course. I know it's not normal, but who cares?" She said, tilting her head.
"That's the thing. I looked you up, searching deeper than I had before, and I found something," My grin became a smirk.
"And what would that be?" She asked.
"Well, how much do you know of your past?" I inquired.
"My mother and father died when I was two. They died when there house caught fire. When I was five, I was adopted," She said.
"Oh sweet, naive (Y/N). There is no one by the name (Y/N) (L/N) alive in this era! The last, living (Y/N) (L/N) is a legend. A myth," I laughed. Her hand slipped into her school bag, but she kept a smile on her face.
"What are you talking about?" She chuckled. Her eyes were glowing again.
"Once upon a time, there was a pack of foxes living in a forest here in japan. Two of which had just given birth to a cub from their god, Inari. This cub had smooth (H/C) fur, and bright (E/C) eyes, and was destined to do great things, to help her pack prosper, but the humans were afraid it would mean that the foxes would over power them. One day, the humans got together, and set fire to the forest, killing all of the foxes," I recited happily. Seeing the confusion on her face, I asked, "How old are you, (Y/N)?"
"16 (It goes with the story, just deal with it!), why?" She asked.
"They thought they killed all of the foxes, but three had gotten away. A male, a female, and a pup. Although, the male and female were not the pup's parents, but just two devoted followers of Inari. They raised the pup for hundreds of years, and every hundred, they would warp the pup's mind with illusions and dreams. That pup, by my calculations, would be thinking she was 16 years old by now, when in actuality, she's 1600 years old," I said, grinning widely. She stared at me, before suddenly lunging, a pair of scissors in her hands. I skillfully dodged. She stumbled to a halt.
"My parents died when there house burnt down!" She growled at me. I took out my switch blade.
"That's what they want you to think!~" I sang. She lunged at me again, and I dodged again, this time grabbing her arm and knocking her scissors out of her hand, kicking them away. She struggled to get out of my grip, but I held onto her arm tightly. "You're parents died in a forest fire, because humans were afraid of a pup. Imagine that! Humans are afraid of things they can't explain, so they kill it! It's all just so fascinating, isn't it? Too bad the little pup got away~," I purred. Her eyes started to steadily glow brighter until her pupils were no longer visible. She suddenly looked at me, and I smiled brightly. Then, there was a sudden surge of energy, pushing me away from (Y/N). The wind started howling as it sped around us. There was a sudden flash of light, and I had to cover my eyes, but I watched in fascination as her eyes glowed bright (E/C) and two fuzzy (H/C) ears appeared on her head, as 16 (H/C) tails appeared one by one behind her. Her teeth grew into fangs, and her nails turned black and sharpened into claws. Then... it all stopped. She stood a few feet in front of me, panting furiously, but not looking at me. "Well, who's the pup now?" I grinned. She stiffened, before turning to look at me. What I saw though, surprised me.
She stood in a defensive position, snarling furociously at me. Her eyes were glowing, fully (E/C), and she looked ready to pounce. Before I could move, I was pinned to the ground, (Y/N) above me. We stayed like that for a second, and she seemed to be struggling with herself, before she slashed into my shoulder. I bit back a yell, and she got off of me. Her tails and ears vanished, and her claws and teeth changed, before she gave me one last snarl and ran off. I sat up, holding a hand to my wound, and smiled to myself.

Present Time!

"Oh, sweet, naive (Y/N). Little fox, all on your own. What will you do now? I know what you are now, and there's so many things I can use against you!~" I chuckled, feeling the blood soak through the wash cloth I held to the wound.
