(Y/N)'s P.o.V

I marched down the street, tugging down my hood. It's been four days since the incident with Izaya, and three since I'd left that place. I couldn't stay there. I mean, it's right next door to him! So I left. I packed up everything and ran. I haven't gone to school in three days, and I had to turn my phone off so I couldn't here the 'ting' of a new message with either worries from Mikado or Masaomi, or taunts from that impudent idiot Izaya.

I've just been traveling Ikebukoro now. Just wandering around, living in alleys, fighting off muggers, and, well... living! I've never felt so alive in my old town! I mean, it was so small, news traveled fast if a dead body was found. But here! I've killed four people and stashed the bodies in the last two days! I made sure to stay clean, though. I made sure I never left behind a speck of DNA. Not even an eye lash. It's been so fun! Of course, I left behind their IDs and blood on the ground. Made it look like I had accidentally left them behind. I mean, I may be a monster, but I'm not evil! If I hadn't left the ID, their families would wonder where they were! Never knowing that they were dead, never to return!~

I glanced around, noticing I was near that Russian Sushi place. I first saw the tall and muscular man known as Simon. He was handing out fliers for the sushi shop, smiling happily. I had met him three days ago, and now I go to Russia Sushi regularly.  Turns out, I really like sushi. Who knew? He noticed me and smiled.

"Howdy Simon," I said nonchalantly, "How's it going?"

"Ah, (Y/N)! It goes good! Coming for sushi?" He asked. I thought about it. I hadn't ate since that morning...

"Yeah, sure," I smiled. I walked past him and inside the sushi shop, taking in the smell before taking a seat at the bar. I ordered Salmon and waited for it. After a while, someone came in and sat two seats down from me. I looked over and my breath hitched in my throat.

"Shizuo..." I breathed, feeling my face get warm. I quickly looked away, glad my hood was up. I felt his gaze turn to me.

"Do I know you?" He asked. I shook my head. He's probably been looking for me, like Mikado and Masaomi... My sushi came and I picked up the chop sticks. I ate quietly, being careful with the cut on my face. I tugged down my hood further. After I finished my sushi, I paid my bill and stood up to leave. Suddenly, Shizuo grabbed my hand, and I felt my heart stop for a moment. He turned me around.

"Uh... howdy?" I smiled nervously. His eyes widened.

"(Y/N)? I haven't seen you in days. The flea keeps asking about you," He said, not letting go of my hand.

"Oh really?" I asked in a bored tone, "I'm not really interested in what he has to say."

"That's understandable," he nodded, letting go of my hand finally, "he keeps saying that he's looking for you."

"Tch. He's no longer interesting. He doesn't matter to me," I rolled my eyes. He's no longer my problem, even if he's looking for me.

"Don't talk like that, you sound almost as bad as the flea," Shizuo growled. I tilted my head to the side.

"Do I? Isn't this how I talk all the time?" I asked in confusion.

"I dunno," Shizuo shrugged, "but if it is, I guess you're almost as annoying as that damn flea."

"...Good. I like being an annoyance," I smirked. Shizuo's eye twitched. "Anyways, how've you been?" I asked.

"Same as always. Anything up with you?" He asked.

"Not much. I dropped out of school, and I got a new apartment," it wasn't a lie. I had dropped out, and I had gotten a new apartment the day before. He looked at me curiously.

"Why'd you do that?" He asked.

"Cuz my old apartment had a flea infestation," I grumbled, thinking of Izaya. I'm not sure when I stopped calling him pup, but I did. "And school's just not interesting. They can't teach me things I already know."

"That's rather conceited of you," He sighed. I smirked.

"Aww, Shizuo-kun knows big words!~" I chuckled. He glared at me over his glasses.

"Don't piss me off, (Y/N)," He grumbled. I grinned.

"Am I making you mad?~" I purred, throwing my arms over his shoulders. He tensed. "I'm sorry... Shizu-chan~."

Next thing I knew, I was racing down the street, running from Shizuo. I knew he wouldn't actually hurt me, but it's really fun to tick him off. I can understand why Izaya does it all the time. I slid into an empty ally-way, hiding on the other side of a trash-can. Shizuo ran right past the ally, and I began laughing.

"That was exhilarating!" I laughed, wiping a tear from my eye. Once I calmed down, I just sat there, realizing it was dark out. I got up to head back to my old apartment.

"Well, who do we have here?" I turned my head slightly, seeing four men behind me. They all wore an article of yellow clothing on them.

"Howdy," I grinned. Might as well get a kill out of tonight. I turned around fully, chuckling slightly when they jumped at seeing my scar.

"Wait... the boss said to keep an eye out for you!" The man at the front of the group said.

"Oh really? Well, you've seen me. What do you want? Who are you?" I tilted my head to the side. I pulled my mask out of my pocket and put it on over my mouth.

"We're the yellow scarves. Ikobukuro's main gang," the second man said with pride. I tilted my head to the other side.

"I thought it was the Dollars," I stated, curiosity over taking me. I can wait a bit before killing them. I need information.

"The Dollars? Ha! Who's ever heard of a colorless gang? They probably don't exist," the first man smirked.

"They're a colorless gang... and your color is yellow? What other gangs are there?" I asked.

"Does it matter? We're number one!" growled a third man. I heard a van pull up behind me. I narrowed my eyes.

"You plan on kidnapping me, don't you?" I concurred. The men seemed surprised. "Did you really think I'd be as dumb as the girls you've kidnapped before?"

"Well..." a fourth man trailed off. I face-palmed.

"Let me guess. There are... three more of you in the van. Really? Seven against one? That's hardly fair, but I can deal with that," I shrugged. I reached into my hoodie pocket, grasping the candy red handle of my scissors. There was a faint (e/c) glow in the ally. "I've been itching for a kill, anyways."

The third man took a step back. He seems to be the only one that heard me.

"Our boss told us to bring you to him if we find you. We can do this the easy way or the hard way, girlie," The first man smirked. I pulled the scissors out of my pocket, smiling behind my mask.

"How about we do this my way~" I chuckled. Without warning, I ran at the four men in front of me. I slashed at the first man, and he put up his arm to block. I put the scissors through his left arm, earning a scream of pain from him. The arm fell limply to his side, my scissors still poking through and blood seeping down his arm. I kicked him in the shin, causing his leg to buckle underneath him. As he fell to his knees, he grabbed the top of my mask, pulling it down and showing my grin.

"W-what are you!?" He yelled. I glanced at the other three men. They all seemed to shocked to move. I kicked him down, yanking my scissors from his arm, earning yet another delightful scream. I held them, about to make another slash, this time for his throat.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm a monster," My grin widened.

Suddenly, I was grabbed from behind and a cloth was forced over my mouth and nose. My eyes widened.

I forgot about the three in the van.

   Everything went black.
