Sorry this isn't a new chapter, but I'm still working on the next actual chapter, and since this is my only story that's being read, I felt like I should update. If you need more to read, you could read my other two Percy Jackson Fanfics.

Annabeth

I would love to say Percy and I got to live the rest of our lives with no more trouble, but that's not how it happened.

Percy and I were on the subway on the way to our apartment. We had gotten it just weeks ago, and it was already messy from Percy and halfway organized by me. I couldn't focus on it for too long, so it was mostly messy.

Anyway, we were on the subway, which I was wary of because of the Serapis incident. We were talking about college, or rather I was talking about college and Percy was sitting there, trying hard to pay attention, when the train came to a stop at the nearest station. This was totally normal, except for the fact that it didn't keep going after it let the other passengers off.

"We are having technical difficulties. The wait should be only ten or fifteen minutes."

"Come on Perce, we can walk, I know this great little candy shop, it's called-"

"Sweet on America?" he asked.

"Yeah, how did you know?"

"My mom used to work there."

"All the better reason to go."

We started to walk there, but I heard something. I quietly stalked towards it, Percy following, having heard it too and trusting my instincts.

My ears led me to an alleyway that appeared empty. I looked all around, trying to find the source of the noise, which had now stopped.

Seeing nothing, I turned to Percy and motioned that we should go saying, "Come on, must have been nothing."

We walked out of the alley, but I froze when I felt a shiver down my spine. I slowly turned around, only to be bowled over by a giant spider. I struggled frantically, thinking Arachne was back and heard Percy yell in surprise and anger.

You killed my mother, demigod scum. You shall pay, you stabbed her in the back, now you will be stabbed in the back too. Watch out for the curses.

And with that, she sunk her teeth into my neck, injecting what I knew was venom that would either kill me or render me immobile for hours.

She withdrew, but I heard the shink of Riptide going through her and was sprayed with dust.

I tried to get up, but found that all I could move was my eyes.

"Annabeth, are you okay? Never mind, stupid question, and I'm gonna assume you can't talk either. Ambrosia better fix this."

He forced me to eat a square of ambrosia, which was hard, considering how I was as limp as spaghetti. He waited a few minutes, and seeing as that didn't work, scooped me up bridal style and started to carry me to his mom's apartment, which was now closer than ours.

I blinked at him, trying to tell him that it was okay, but I don't know if he got the message. I hated feeling so helpless. I was also hoping that this wasn't permanent. I had read a lot about spiders, but I didn't find much. I also didn't like the sound of what she'd said. Watch out for the curses? I really hoped that didn't mean the arai. That would be bad.

Okay, just saying, but I'm going to put this in Annabeth and Me, but from Percy's POV. Do you want me to make it a two shot, or just leave it at this? And if you do want more of this, I can put more in one of my other stories that's more random so it isn't just in the middle of this story.
