Shane wakes up and I know we need to talk. I wait until after we cuddle actually dreading talking about it.

"Hello beautiful."

"Hi, so I was thinking..."

"Okay and?"

"I can't ask you to give up your dream, your destiny for me."

"Chapin-"

"Just let me finish. I want you to be happy as well and it makes the most sense for me to move to England. You mean the world to me and I know how much that alpha title means to you."

Shane looks at me shocked. "Are you sure?"

"I just can't ask you to do something like that. What type of a person- what kind of mate, would I be if I denied you something you have wanted all your life."

"Chapin we don't have to. If staying here makes you happy then that's all I need."

"Do I really get the choice?" I ask him tears streaming down my face. "That title is yours and I'm not going to be the one that denies you it." I look at him and see the man I'm destined to love, may even love now but also the boy I hated so long ago.

Past-

I walk over to Grey and Shane they were pretend fighting each other. I was always left out because I was a girl. I watch as they dodge and throw fists always back and forth like a dance. When they finished I walk over to the two boys.

"Can I try?"

"No- Chapin you're making me look bad." Grey whispers to me. I look at Shane and he just rolls his eyes at me. I walk away sad but knowing nothing is going to change it. I run over to dad and Terrance who are talking but they just both ignore me commenting on the training that just happened between Shane and Grey.

"I mean he will be a great beta one day but he will never be up to the alpha level that Shane is at." Terrance comments.

"Yes but Silas is going to be an amazing alpha."

"He is a miraculous boy that Silas. Will be an extraordinary alpha maybe even passing his old man." They both laugh and I tug on my dads coat.

"Chapin you are supposed to be working on your studies."

"Dad I got bored! I want to train like everyone else!"

"No Chapin. You need to finish your homework." Dad scolds me and tears gather in my eyes. I nod my head and walk away from them. I go back into my house and finish my homework.

When supper comes around we all go downstairs knowing that Shane and his family are leaving tomorrow. We all gather around the table dad and Terrance at the heads of the table and their wives to their left. Silas and Shari sit at the main table where as Shane, Grey and I sit at a side table. We all sit patiently for the food to be passed our way. When it comes to our table Shane takes it first.

"Hey that's rude." I shout to him. Mother always says gentlemen will let the lady go first.

"I'm the alpha so I serve first." He gloats his title even though it's not even his yet.

"Well I'm going to be beta!" Grey glares at the boy.

"That's why you'll be next. Beta still is less important that the Alpha." Shane smirks at him and I glare at the boys.

"Mother says gentlemen will always let the lady go first." I tell them snarkily.

"I don't see any ladies here." Shane smiles to himself. I glare at the boy done with him being here. I hold my tongue and wait my turn. They mock me all throughout supper and I glare at the two boys annoyed with them. Silas' gaze meets mine from across the room and I just roll my eyes. He offers me a small smile and it makes me feel a little better.
