Camila's POV
Well..... This Christmas vacation has been more than eventful. So far Josh and I have been chatting everyday. Whether it is texting or skyping or even snap chatting. My sister caught me and made me explain everything to her. Then Mike's wife Hillary got involved and well those two are serious chatter boxes. They want to know his entire background, I can't imagine how my brothers would react. Well Eric would probably be cool but Ty, Mike and Paul wouldn't be. Don't even get me started on my dad. He doesn't want us girls to date hockey players.
Now, Haley is like my sister and Hilary but she knows Josh so she's less like 'I need his entire background and sin number' and more like 'awww can I be a bridesmaid when you get married?' It's a little excessive if you ask me.

Josh🙊: Want to meet up in red deer tomorrow?
Camila💖: Are you sure you can get out?
Josh🙊: Yep. My parents and Jake are away for the day tomorrow and they said I could stay home if I wanted. I think they're Christmas shopping or something.
Camila💖: That close to Christmas?
Josh🙊: Never said my family was bright. But I love them the same.
Camila💖: From what you've told me they seem amazing 💕
Josh🙊: You'll love them! I promise 😌
Camila💖: Can't wait to meet them! So what time tomorrow?
Josh🙊: Hmm it's about an hour and a half for both of us so I'm thinking 11? Does that work?
Camila💖: Sounds perfect. I'll try and get away from my family for a little bit. Hopefully they won't mind. I might have a person or two with me. But they can go shopping or something.
Josh🙊: Sister??
Camila💖: Yes, and my sister in law. Possibly Haley as well but I'm not sure what her and Eric have planned for tomorrow. You never know with those two. 😂
Josh🙊: Totally agree! I've gotta go now, Jake wants to go and play hockey. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Camila💖: Okay, goodnight. Have fun with your brother!
Josh🙊: Thank you! I will!

"Hilary, Haley, Cathy can I see you three?" I ask motioning for them to follow me. They look at each other and then get up to follow me into the hall.
"What's up Cam?" Hilary asks.
"Want to come to Red Deer with me tomorrow?" They look at me in confusion. "Josh wants to meet up! You can come and meet him then go shopping or something. Only if you want, I just don't know how I'm getting out of this house without the boys being suspicious of something. You know how Mike is. He's so over protective of me, it's ridiculous."
"He's like that with everyone. Don't worry, I am in. Anything for young love." She whispers the last part. My sister nods as well and then Haley.
"What time are we leaving?" Haley asks.
"I say about nine. Stop and grabs Timmies before hitting the highway. It's about an hour and a half, Josh said. I've never paid attention," I shrug.
"So it's set!! This will be great!" Cathy pipes up for the first time.
"Should I give him his Christmas present?" I ask talking about the watch I had seen him looking at.
"I'd put it in your purse and then see what happens. If not when you get back to Winnipeg," I nod and make a mental note to put it in my purse before we leave. That night at dinner with all of us around the dinner table it makes me miss home more and more.
"So Camila, how's classes going?" My dad asks me taking a sip of his wine.
"They're good. Keeping me on my toes, literally. History has us learning about the revolution and Europe during the 1500's. Very interesting and in vocals we've started up an acapella group. It's one of our projects and it's an interesting process actually," I finish taking a bite of my lasagna. My dad nods with a little smile on his face.
"That's great honey! I'm happy you're doing so well and I'm glad Eric is with you. Keep you and the boys in line," he winks at me and I blush looking down at my plate.
"I don't have any boys," Ty kicks me from across the table. "Owwww," I hiss glaring at him and he shakes his head.
"Tell them about Josh," he mouths.
"Who?" I mouth back.
"The boy you like but don't want to make a move." I shake my head signalling that I'm not going to tell them. He shrugs and shakes his head at me. "You need to."
"No... I don't need to. I'll tell them when I'm ready and if anything happens with Josh." He nods and goes back to his food. I look around and everyone is looking at Ty and I.
"It's a twin thing." I say flicking my hand in their direction.
"Whatever you say." Mike says and then everyone turns back to what they were doing before. I glare at Ty and turn back to my food.
The next morning the girls and I get up bright and early to hit the road with a quick stop at Timmies.
"Excited?" Haley asks me riding shot gun beside me.
"Excited to see my boyfriend yes. Excited for the ride no," I say as we merge onto the highway.
"It'll be worth it when you see him." Hilary pipes up in the back.
"Hopefully," I say changing lanes over. Haley's changing the radio stations and the two girls in the back seem to be on their phones doing god knows what.
"I swear Ty's onto us." Cathy says looking up from her phone to catch my eyes in the mirror.
"He has some idea of Josh. Just doesn't know that we're actually dating. He thinks that we're just friends afraid of making a move." I shrug.
"Well then, he'll be happy when he finds out that you two are actually dating."
"Oh yeah, along with my other brothers and my dad. They'll all be over the moon to find this out."
"At least your mom will like this." Cathy reasons.
"Yeah, I hope she does. Josh is a good guy, I mean Chase was too but Josh is better." I comment without thinking.
"Who's Chase?" Cathy asks.
"Like DeLeo?" Haley asks. I shoot her a look.
"Yes DeLeo, we kind of dated. Like I like him and everything but not the way I like Josh and for a little bit I as going back and forth between who I want more. Josh and I have been through so much together through hockey and then with him playing along side Eric in the AHL it made me realize I would rather be with Josh than Chase."
"Personally can see you with Josh more than Chase. Always have even ask Eric. He gets so defensive and protective over you." I grab my coffee and take a sip focusing on the road. Suddenly Classic by: MKTO starts playing through the speakers.
"This is my song!!" I scream dancing in the seat. The other girls start as well until we're hit by a car sending us into the other lane of traffic. I fumble to get us out of the oncoming traffic. Another car collides with us sending us tumbling into a ditch. My arm gets wedged in between the door and my seat. I let out a scream of agony.
"What's wrong?" I hear Hilary ask.
"My arm, it's stuck." I cry feeling something trickle down my forehead. "Is everyone else alright?"
"I think so." I hear a knock on the window.
"I'm breaking it open cover yourself." He says and I nod covering my face. He smashes it open and tries to get the door unlocked.
"You're going to be alright. My name is Dave and I am a paramedic. Can you guys tell me your names?"
"I'm Hilary."
"My name is Cathy."
"My name is Haley."
"I'm umm Camila," I say rubbing my head with my other hand.
"Please don't touch it. It could make it worse or if there's something lodge in there it could dislodge. I'm going to stay here and call 911." We nod and my eyes grow heavy. The pain in my arm slowly going away as I slip away.
