Don't Be Me

Chapter Four

Kasey P.O.V

Groaning I turn off my alarm and get up to shower.I wasn't bothered to do anything else but brushing my teeth,doing my hair,and changing my cloths.I throw my phone into my backpack and I head to the kitchen.As I walk into the kitchen I check the time. Since it was only six I guess I could get to school early and read in the library until the bell rings.

I guess my Aunt has already left for work I would probably get yelled at after she gets home shrugging my shoulders I grabbed my Uncle's car keys and drive to school. I groan again and I grab my backpack and,push myself out of the car. I didn't want to come here,I wanted to go back to bed. I could only wish.

Heading to the library I sat down and read my book.

"Kasey, What are you doing here so early?"

Turning my head I see Ryan starring down on me. Internally groaning I wasn't a morning person and I really didn't want to talk to anybody right now. Nothing personal against Ryan  he seems like a nice guy and all.

"I could ask the same question to you."

"Just had nothing better to do,so I'm doing homework. I didn't do last night."

"Sucks." I respond

"Why are you here?"

"Got here early so I'm just gonna read."

"Well I'm here so I think you have something better to do now." He smirks

"True." I shrug

"Wanna walk around?"

".. Sure."

I put my book up and push him a little bit chuckling.

"Let's go." I said

I hear him chuckle next to me.

"Are you coming to the party tomorrow?"

"What party?" I ask

"There's a party at some dudes house. You should come."

"I don't know.. I'm not big for parties."

I start to hear him laugh next to me.

"Have you not been to a party before?"

"No. I have I used to go to them quite a bit actually. There just not my thing anymore."

"Oh you should still stop by though. It'll be fun."

I nod my head.

The bell starts to ring turning to Ryan he says,"I'll send you the address."

"Sure."

I see the library in my direction relief fills me as I see Bella with another girl at our table.What another girl?I walk to the table I take the last seat that was next to Bella.

"Finally, you took forever!" Bella exclaimed

"Sorry." I mumbled

I started to look around the table with the other girl looking at me with a small smile.

"Oh sorry. Let me introduce you to my friend Brook."

"Best friend." The other girl interrupts

A girl with long ombre hair looked up at me with big hazel eyes.

"And Brook this is Elaine but I call her Lainey."

"Hey"

"Hey" I respond

I sit down in the spot next to Bella with Brooklyn in front of me.

"So... Lainey where are you from?" Brooklyn asks

"Arizona"

"Damn, Isn't it supposed to be pretty hot in Arizona?" Brooklyn asks

"Yeah, I guess I'm not very used to this cold weather honestly." I chuckled

"Oh, don't worry I know how you feel I moved from Oklahoma in the 8th grade and I freezed my ass off for a year." Brooklyn chuckles

"Damn, I can't wait."I replied sarcastically

I hear Brooklyn chuckle again

"Why weren't you here yesterday?" I ask Brook

"I got lunch detention for getting caught making out in the back hallway with Spencer Jackson. I can't help if he's so hot!!" Brook moaned

We laugh together as the bell rings.

I make my way to science.Honestly just sitting there I wanted to blow my brains out. I know that sounds like I'm being over dramatic- well I am but,hating science is an understatement for me.I'm actually surprised I'm still passing the class.I hear the last bell ring,signaling us its time to go home. I get in my car and drive home.

I make it home in no time. I open the front door to be welcomed in silence.

"Guess the yelling would be saved for later." I thought.

Walking up to my room I set my stuff down and head downstairs to eat something.

After eating my snack and watching tv for a couple hours I hear the front door open.

"How was work?"I asked

I was faced with a not so happy Aunt.

"Where were you last night?"

"Around." I shrugged.

"Around?" My aunt questions

"Yeah."

"Like where?"

"I walked."

"Where?"

"I don't know."

"How do you not know where you were?"

"I don't know." I shrugged.

She looks at me in disbelief.

"How did you get home then? If you didn't know where you were?"

I watched her cross her arms over her chest.

"I got a taxi."

"Fine. Just don't do it again its not safe."

I still see disbelief painted across her face when she walks up the stairs.My Aunt obviously never had kids before,its not like she can't have kids she just doesn't want them. She's way to busy with being a doctor and shit like that. Which doesn't make since on why she agreed to having me.I go upstairs and take a hot shower and fall into deep sleep.
