Chapter 1; Birthday

❀Bryn's POV❀

I woke up to the light shining in through my blinds. That's when I remember it's my birthday. I sit up and stretch, making me yawn. I slowly get out of bed and make my way down the stairs.

"Good morning sweetie, I made your cake, do you want to do it now," my mom asked me. "Sure," I said with excitement. We all gathered around the table as my mom lit the 14 candles lying on top of the cake.

By 'we', I mean my siblings and I. I have one sister and one brother, and they are both younger than me. Gwendolyn is my sister, who is 10, and Alex is my brother, who is 7. We can be a bit of a handful sometimes.

We also have a dog named Bailey. She is so cute; I just love to cuddle with her.

Anyways, back to the cake.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Bryn, happy birthday to you," they all sang at once.

I squinted my eyes and wished as hard as I could and blew out the candles after making my 'wish'.

"Hey, are we going or not," my mom questioned, yelling for me. She's taking me shopping for my birthday since I really had nothing specific I wanted.

"Gwen, Alex, come on. I'm dropping you off at Aunt Lucy's house so I can take Bryn shopping," my mom chirped.

"We're coming, we're coming," Alex stated.

After we dropped them off, my mom took me to the mall that was only 20 minutes away from our house. Considering it's the beginning of the year, there will be a lot of sales going on.

We find a parking spot and I shove my phone into the pocket of my jeans before exiting the sliver Ford Escape.

When I got out, snowflakes drizzled onto my hair and on my coat. I put my black beanie on and walked towards the entrance.

I didn't really know what I wanted, so I just got some more jeans, a couple body sprays from Bath and Body Works, a few scarves, a couple of sweaters, and a new pair of boots.

10:21 pm

"Mom, I'm going to watch a movie then go to bed," I yelled down the stairs, hoping she heard me.

"Ok, sweet dreams. And happy birthday. Love you," she answered. "Love you too mom."

I walked back into my room and changed into black nike pros and a white cropped sweatshirt and layed in bed watching Netflix.

Soon enough I was on my phone looking through a list of the most popular apps on the App Store. I find an app called YouNow and decide to download it to see what it is.

It finally downloads after about 2 minutes and I quickly made an account to get started.

They had some people broadcasting as an editor's choice so I clicked on a boy who looked about my age.

"Alright, well I think I'm going to get off for now. Be sure to follow all my social media, itsmarioselman on Instagram and Twitter and marioselman on musical.ly. And add me on snapchat too, itsmemario1809. Okay, byeeeee," he said than logged off.

He was cute. And he seemed nice. Two in one.

I fanned him and shut my phone off, setting it and my laptop on my desk charging. I got back under my covers, and turned the lamp of.

I switched the way I was facing, and turned towards my nightstand to check the time on my alarm clock. It read 11:11 pm.

Ha, that's funny. Maybe a wish will come true if it's on my birthday! Just kidding, it probably won't happen. But I still wished anyways.

'I wish that one day, I will become somebody's 11:11.'
