Imagine walking over to your boyfriends house because you are worried after him not answering your texts for a couple days. As you approach the house, you see a strange car in the driveway. You walk up and knock on the door. After waiting a few minutes and getting no answer, you knock again. Still not getting an answer you peak into the living room window. What you see paralyzes you. Your boyfriend of 2 years is sitting on the couch, cuddled up and kissing another girl. He pulls away from her and sees your face in the window. All you can do is stand there, jaw dropped.

He gets up and starts walking to the door. The sound of the knob turning is enough to release you from your state of shock. You turn around and sprint away, your now ex-boyfriend following behind you. After a few feet he stops. "Please just let me explain! Come on babe, we can talk this out!" He yells to your back. This makes you stop in your tracks and spin around. "DO NOT call me that. I'm not your "babe" anymore. Not after that. There is nothing you can say that will make what I saw ok." With that you turn your back and walk away, tuning out the rest of his useless pleas and made up explanations.

You finally make it home, flinging the door open and slamming it shut, leaning back against it. You slide down to the floor. You are staring at the ceiling when you hear movement come from the living room. A familiar voice echoes through the empty house. "Hello? (Y/N)? You home?" He calls out, turning the corner to see you. "Hey...what's wrong?" He quickly walks over and sits down in front of you. He reaches out brushes your something off your cheek. You realize that you have been crying. You quickly turn your face away from him. "It's nothing, I'm fine." You say, trying to keep your voice steady. You fail. "Seriously, what happened? I want to help." He says while rubbing your back. "But you can't help, Timmy. There's nothing you can do. He cheated on me. He complete ignore me for the past couple days so I went to his house to check on him and I saw.....he was making out with some other girl." Your voice gets quieter as you go along, tears overtaking you again.

At some point while you were talking, he had pulled you into his lap and was holding you tight. Now that you explained to him what happened, his arms were ridged and you can see his jaw is clenched. "Timmy..you alright?" You look at him confused as he gently pushes you off then stands up. He begins pacing, fists clenched. "How the FUCK could he do that to you? What the fucking hell is WRONG with him? He better watch his ass because if I get a hold of him I won't be able to help but rip his head from his neck." You get up and stand in front of him, placing your hands on his tensed shoulders. "Yeah, it was a shitty thing for him to do but Timmy...you need to calm down. Sure I thought I loved him, but at the end of the day, he was just a guy." Timmy visibly flinches when you talk about love. Wait...is there something more going on here then being upset over your cheating ex. Just then, he leans his forehead on yours and you feel your cheeks heat with a blush. You have been like this loads of times before, for some reason, it has a different feeling this time, less innocent. He looks in your eyes as he speaks. "I just don't understand how he could cheat on you when you're already all anybody could ever want." You continue to stare. "W-what?" Is this going where you think? "(Y/N), I like you...I have for a long time. I just really don't want to ruin what we have here. Please don't let it change your view of me." You are frozen for the second time today. You realize that you have felt the same for a long time, just refused to admit it to yourself. "Timmy....I...." He interrupts you. "I know. I've ruined our friendship. I'm sorry, I just couldn't hide that anymore." You stare and him then quickly lean in and press your lips gently to his. He pulls away after a few seconds and look into your eyes. You both smile and you hold each other close. Maybe things do happen do a reason.
