12.

I wake up to a sudden pain in my ribs, making me whimper before turning on my side and curling into a ball.
"What happened?" Sesshomaru asks, appearing in front of me in seconds.
"The pup kicked my ribs." I whine and he pushes me back down onto my back.
At this point, I look down and see that I can no longer see my feet.
"Alright, I need to do something." I say and try sitting up, but the bastard pushes me back down.
I suddenly feel a churning in my stomach and roll onto my side to puke.
"I don't get it. I haven't eaten in days and I still manage to have morning sickness." I groan and push myself up.
"Lie down. The more you move, the more likely the pup will be born to soon." Sesshomaru says softly.
"Don't care. And do you see how big I am? When the pup comes, they come. I'm not stopping them and I'm not urging them, but I refuse to just lie on my back wondering when I'm going to puke next." I growl and use his shoulder to push myself into a standing position.
"I know traveling dimensions caused some of the excelerated growth, but I'm only 3 and a half weeks." I whine and start waddling to the door.
"Fine, but Rin will be staying with you at all times." He says and walks with me to a garden where Rin was trying to capture butterflies.
"Hi Rin." I say and she turns around with a smile that makes my heart melt.
"MOMMY!" She yells and runs to me, wrapping herself around my legs for a hug.
"Rin, stay with Willow and call me if she looks in pain or anything happens." Sesshomaru says, placing a kiss on my cheek before walking away. . . . . With his tail.
I'll steal it again soon.
"Mommy, why won't the butterflies land on me?" She asks
"You're too rough young one." I hear a light voice say making me gasp.
"Lo-" Rin starts to call Sesshomaru,but I place my hand over her mouth.
"I'm fine Rin, but someone just said something." I say and her head tilted in confusion.
"I don't hear anyone." She says, looking around.
"How did you hear me?" The voice says again and I look down to see a giant butterfly on my baby bump.
"No damn clue." I state and look towards Rin.
"They might land on you if you sit still. They are very fragile creatures, so be careful." I say and she grins, sitting on the ground.
"Mommy, they like you!" She says and I turn around to see hundreds of butterflies appearing in the garden.
"The prophecy is true! The peace bringer has arrived!" I hear the butterflies mumble throughout the swarm.
"Mommy, can you sit next to me so that they'll land on me?" She asks
"Okay, but I'm going to need help getting back up." I say and sit down.
"Thank you!" Rin giggles as multiple butterflies land on her.

"Mommy, why are there so many?" Rin asks me, shaking me from my light cat nap. I turn onto my side and push myself up to see an animal of every species. I suddenly hear so many voices that my ears start to bleed.
"LORD SESSHOMARU!!!" Rin yells and I let out a quick scream of agony.
I feel myself be picked up by strong arms before I pass out.

"My lord, the only thing I could find was a chapter on the peace bringer." Jakin says, waking me.
"Read it, that's what the butterflies kept calling me." I groan and try to sit up.
"Is that the peace bringer?"
"Fuck!" Groan and look around to see ants.
ANTS.
"What!? Is it the pup!?" Sesshomaru asks, slightly annoying me.
"I'll let you know when it's the pup. And no, I can even hear the damn ants call me the peace bringer." I groan and hold out my hand to him. He grabs my hand and places his other behind my back, helping me sit up.
"Do you know anything about child birth?" I ask him curiously.
"No, I don't have to. You birth the pup while I guard the den." He says and I narrow my eyes.
"I will not birth my pup without another person in the room who can help." I growl
"You have no choice, I must protect the den." Sesshomaru says
"Even if you didn't, I need someone who can help. You don't know anything about childbirth. I do, and I know that I want Sango and/or Kagome in the den while I birth my pup."
"Why them? They know anything either." He says confidently.
"Kagome and Sango both have a younger brother that they saw be born. They know more than you, and they know more than me. They witnessed it first hand while I've only read books. So I suggest someone goes to get them before I go into labour, or I'm going to have Clementine take me there while I'm in labour." I say and his eyes widen.
"Jakin, take A-un and lead the girls here. If the others come, fine. But they aren't to be near the den." Sesshomaru says
I feel a slight pang in my lower abdomen and decide to just massage it instead of worrying him.
"Are you nervous about fatherhood?" I ask Sesshomaru with a smirk
"No." He replies, obviously lying.
"I highly doubt that. And it's okay to be nervous. I am too, but more about the actual birth rather than parenthood." I say and he looks at me with slightly widdened eyes.
"Well, if you aren't going to make conversation, help me up." I say, holding out my hand. He stands and picks me up, carrying me out of the . . . Room?
"Where are we?" I ask
"Our room. The den is behind the book shelf." He says
"Well okay then. Now please put me down, I want to walk, or waddle, around while still possible." I say and he gently sets me down, but keeps his arm around my waist.
"What do you want to eat?" I ask
"I haven't ever had food that I knew the name of....... I did enjoy a red berry when I was a child." He says and I grin.
"Strawberry shortcake it is! To the kitchen!" I yell and he smirks while showing me the way.

"Okay, it's almost ready, so go and get Rin." I say to Sesshomaru while squatting down to pick up the fallen strawberry.
"Only if you sit down and don't move till I get back." He says
"Ugghh! I feel like you're trying to baby proof everything for me! Not the pup, but me!" I exclaim in fustration.
"I'm not a glass doll!" I growl and I swear I saw his head bow.
Stupid damn hormones Making me over- exagerate everything.
"I will go get Rin, please be careful."
He says calmly and leaves the room.
"Damn it. They should have pre-natal vitamins in this era." I mumble to myself and feel the small pain in my abdomen again and start to massage it.
"I think those are Braxton Hicks, so you better stop and just break my water, rather than make me expirience the fake out shit." I mumble and move my hand to rub my stomach while the other supports my back.
I feel the pain again, but slightly sharper which causes me to gasp.
"You're going to regret that when you get older." I say and start walking, but not two steps later, I am squatting on the ground trying to catch my breath.
"Mommy?..... Are you okay?" Rin asks as she walks into the kitchen.
"Um, yes?" I say, not knowing if I am.
"Do you want Lord Sesshomaru?" She asks and I look at her with a forced smile due to the throbbing pain.
"Yes please." I say with a slight stutter when my diaphragm gets another kick sent into it.

"What happened!?" Sesshomaru exclaims as he flashes into the room. It took a couple of minutes to I decided to start stretching to try and loosen things up a bit and he walked in while I was in the middle of doing the splits and taking deep breathes.
"Your kid keeps kicking me in the diaphragm. Rin was worried and I could barely breathe." I say and move so that my legs are doing the butterfly.
"Then why are you doing that?" He asks and sits on the ground Infront of me.
"Have you ever heard of Braxton Hicks?" I ask and his eyes widen slightly.
"I'm taking you to the den, you could go into labour at any moment." He says and stands up.
"You are not confining me into the den until my water breaks. And how big is it in the den?" I ask, shifting to a squatting position so that I could stand up.
"Big enough for both you, myself, and 8 pups to be in it while in demon form." He says
"Good. Then I'll be in there when my water breaks." I say with a grin and move towards the strawberry shortcake.
"You want some?" I ask as Sesshomaru comes up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, his hands placed on my stomach and his head lies atop my shoulder.
"Sure." He says and places a kiss on my mark, making me shiver in pleasure.
"Well, aren't you in the mood." I say with suggestive eyebrows as I turn in his arms and put a strawberry in his mouth.
He quickly chews and pulls me into a deep kiss that has the power to have us speaking French.
"Mommy, can I go play with Shippo?" Rin asks, peaking her head through the doorway.
"How about you bring them all in here so they can have a snack." I say and she grins before running back to the direction she came from.
"One hour, one hour more and we-". Sesshomaru starts to whine but gets cut off as his brother walks in looking angry.
"What do you want, asshat?" Inuyasha says with a glare towards my mate.
"You, weren't required. I wanted Sango and Kagome." I say, walking-waddling over to my only female friends.
"What for though?" Kagome asks, giving me a light side hug.
"Sesshomaru expected me to birth my pup in an underground room, by myself. So I threatened him with a few things and he sent Jakin to get you two." I say and get another sharp pain in my lower abdomen, causing me to wince....... At least it wasn't a kick to my ribs.
"Are you okay?" Kagome asks
"I think they are Braxton Hicks, but it could be contractions." I say
"Shouldn't you be lying down then?" Inuyasha asks
"No, moving around eases the pain and helps speed up the labor." Sango says
"There isn't really anything too painful until her water breaks, anything before that usually feels like period cramps." Kagome says.
"Basically. Now eat the cake so we can attempt to go outside. I need to try communicating with those damn butterflies." I say and move so that I am once again, infront of Sesshomaru.
Let's see if they can tell me why I'm the peace bringer.
